Why?

Why why why? plz stop trying to start something that just isnt ready to be started. The media is so expencive let alone the bw that has to be used.

movie was good but no need for dvd9

im was wondering when the groups would start doing full rip rls's, i for one am quite happy about it. I like all the extras on some discs, if you dont want them then you can always rip them out yourself as it wont take too long.

Posted by vip3r on 10-05-2004 12:22 AM:

agreed. get ahead of yourselves and stop releasing dvd9's, hell stop releasing period.

Posted by Miller on 10-05-2004 12:33 AM:

ya i'll start downloading dvd9 once i have a 100mbit connection in my house and the media don't cost 55$ for 3 . but anyway its really pointless release since their is already dvd rips out their

I agree that they should release these DVD9's when there is a better "market" for them, i.e. the media is cheaper. If they did that then they would have made a great name for themselves instead of what they are currently getting from here.

But still nice one to ye for releasing it, we will appreciate it soon (hopefully)

hehe, I doubt they would get a good name from releasing DVD9s period. UNLESS they are one-two months early like alot of current DVD-Rs are. But when we get to that stage, it again won't be MSD doing the releases since all the other big name groups will be releasing them way earlier.

Rock on MSD some of us actually appreciate your hard work with full extras. I never discourage any group, and as for when they pre. They did get ahold of a pre release The Day After Tomorrow. I give props to anyone who takes the time to do these underappreciated releases. My advice if u dont' want em, then don't download em

TOTALLY agree

MSD - all your dvd9 have been appreciated so far

Yes, granted, media is expensive, however, when you consider the media is less than 30% of the price of a retail DVD, then thats not bad at all. Bandwith - not wasted at all. as bcool2k said - if you dont like, dont leech - if you like it, leech it - (i will add) If its a film you think is awesome - BUY IT!

I buy many retail DVD's, but there are some that do not justify the price they charge, therefore i dont buy, and like to leech the DVD9.

MSD - you may not have the BEST name in the DVDR scene, however you have MANY people who appriciate what your doing.

:: I'm gonna really stick my neck out with the next comment ::

I would guess that most people who wont pay for the media, are the people who cant make a proffit on the release.

I see people in the UK selling DVDR for £2 a title, no wonder they say media is too expensive, what they really mean is - they would need to charge £6 for a backup and people wont pay that ...

Well, my message to you guys are GO DIE!

MSD - FULL PROP, keep up the good work

:: NB, pefore you guys say it - i am NOT accusing EVERYONE who says media is expensive are selling for proffit, i am simply stating what i have seen with my own eyes. I know many do not sell, and many appreciate the scene and the groups (in all catagories) for releasing - but there are some who ruin it for all.

How the hell can u rate video and sound a 9, its untouched ffs.
Its just the same as buying it from a shop. Gotta be 10/10.
If you dont know how to rate a film, then dont rate it.

Posted by krawhitham on 10-05-2004 01:49 PM:

This is the same group that use to dvdshrink everything they released. They are releasing DVD9s because they do not have the skills to downsample it

I dont' flame people anymore And who says it has to be a ten. I will NEVER give a release a 10 NEVER. Nothing is Perfect. a One to One copy deserves the same rating as the RETAIL, and beleive me its far from perfect. Just drop it.

9/9/7

Thats my review and my opinion please don't respond, thank u

Agreed... Making an image of a DVD is around 1/10th the actual work that goes into a DVD-R release (full job which includes downsampling). Usually I rip the movie while eating a snack or maybe even dinner. The last thing I think when I return to the "Operation Successful" screen is, "man, ripping this movie was hard work".

BOOOOO!!! (again)

0/0/8

hrmmm, i have an idea. just rip the dvd and then rls it. because everyone has the $20 a pop for dl dvd-r discs

[Edit:: I've let this through as an example of how NOT to score. This release does not deserve a 0/0. The whole point of these releases on DVD9 is for you to remove/compress bits yourself, with the option of burning to DL if you want - Neversoft]
