Is anyone else having trouble with the English subtitles?
unable to get english subs here either
The dvd has no english subs. If u go into the "languages" in the main menu u will see that the disk only has spanish & french subs
does it have English CC (Closed-Caption)?

It has all its subs, but are displaced. Suppose to be 2dummy subs, english, french, spanish. But only 1 dummy was added. So subs are off in its selection (ie: selecting english gives you french)
You can either edit sub tracks seq in ifoedit, or edit ifoedit to select subs and not go directly to submenu, or edit buttons in menu edit. Or if your player will let you select subs and not take you to the subs menu your ok.

interesting that they kept 2 commentaries and an extra.. this may only be me, but i could care less about those.. when I backup a DVD i aim for the best quality of the main movie.. I don't know how large the size of the main movie was by itself (untouched) but if the only reason it had to be reencoded was because of keeping the commentaries and an extra.. i would find it ludacris.. i watch these on a big HDTV so quality is important.. compression is noticible even if re-encoded with CCE you could tell compared to an untouched version.. at least "most of the time" of course depending settings/length/etc..
but then again this is free so my complaining means nothing.. but just a msg to grps that they should aim to keep the main movie in tact.. and if u want the extras buy the real thing..
video looked ok, audio was perfect.. movie was so so..
