AR looked a bit squashed to me and constant flashing throughout + the odd bit laughter from the U.S. audience

Hot damn! POT strikes again with a nice ass 1 day pre-theater CAM. Picture is slightly blurry, but not dark at all. Nice WS cropping on this one boys. Now as for the sound, it's slightly hollow, but it's very understandable. Just be warned that you can hear some laughing in the audience, but it is not as bad as Shall We Dance, you can barely hear it. Movie looks so fucking funny, and i'm in the mood for a nice laugh. Release is only 1 disc .. and like i said before, 1 day pre-theater!!

Keep up the great work POT.

::edit:: movie was pretty good too, just dont watch the preview(s) too much

Posted by bcool2k on 10-08-2004 07:53 PM:

TO me, this CAM is on par with the The Cookout CAM. Small distant pic, a tad blurry but watchable. The audio is very hollow and a bit of laughter can indeed be heard. However, being that this looked pretty funny and is pre theatre. and only 1cd its definitely worth a download. and U never know. No other version of Ladder 49 besides POT rls to date Thank You POT for keeping the movies rolling in.

Just finished the film. As expected the best parts were in the preview however, its not a bad way to spend an hour and 13min. HEHE. Short as HEll. EnjOY!!

Now, play nice folks

Decent CAM, although the flickering is near seizure inducing. Audio is typical CAM audio. The movie, well let's just say I never laughed, not even once. Pick it up if you want, but I'd recommend gargling razor blades for a better time

I'm trying to figure out why 2 of the 3 posts regarding this release don't mention the HORRID flickering in this release- If I were to watch more than 2 minutes of it, I think I would have a seizure.

Audio isn't too bad at all, except for the audience laughter as mentioned before.

This release is not worth downloading because of the flicker... get rid of that, and I may change my mind.

I'm sorry but i noticed no flickering at all. .. dunno but i think it's just on your end .. or maybe i'm just blind

::edit:: i watched this movie and didn't notice that anything was missing. Although, at this one part, it seemed as if a few mins were cut (when they're at the department of health or something .. ), but other than that it's all there i think

Posted by wazzers on 10-08-2004 08:45 PM:

had this last night didnt think it was gonna show up here but at last.
anyway as said yes there is a flicker but not that bad imo.hollow but understandable audio. nice cropping . I LOVE POT The scene would be late without you

Movie running time is an 1h40m. POT's cam running time is 1h15m. Minus about 7 or so minutes for credits. Thats a pretty sizeable chunk that is missing.

But still. Good for a pre-theatre.

I dunno, looked around for the running time and I've seen 97 mins, 98 mins and 90 mins. Ah well, weird. Anywhoo, this is a pretty good cam. Watchable, good-ish pic and clear sound (for a cam)

Like I said, not sure if anything is missing from the movie (1hr 13m seems very short) but I'll watch it since it's Queen Latifah.

Pic - 6
Audio - 8 (for a cam)
Movie - ??

well since i watched it on my stand alone lastnite i seen some problems... i mean the video was great for how small the file was and you can hear some guy with a nasty ass chest cold dying at the end of the movie but... the part that really had me wondering i noticed TWO cut parts in the movie no telling how long the parts were cut for but they cut TWO parts out one when they were singing in the taxi and next thing you know they are knocking on some apt door and then when they access the computer to find out someones address and it cuts to them knocking on the apt door again ....maybe a repack?

as for the flickering ...you cant even notice it after the movie starts it only flickers on certin parts it was just the cam they used people saying that you shouldnt watch this rls because of the flickering is so bad i dont think i would agree with that and its cropped on the right side only just alittle bit no one stands up or anything ...i heard one person laughing ..and the auido is a typical pot cam nothing special

i mean i was blown away because im use to all the other pot cams ...if it had DTS sound im sure people would keep it until a dvdrip came out thats how good it was on my tv

overall this is a awsome cam and its worth picking up and seeing yourself

pre-theatre?

I went to see this wednesday night in the theatre. LOL

us theatres suck, canada's pwn

Posted by chL on 10-08-2004 10:43 PM:

i haven't seen this yet, I want to go see it at the teather so I'm not going to download a CAM (gj on time though).

I'd just like to say that this was inspired SO bad by Taxi (french movie, very popular in France and Quebec) lol, same kind of all-customed cab with outrageously awesome performance.

Nice video, but the flicker is intense at times.
Sound is above average.
One disk is plus.
Movie sux azz. Speed up the film, and que the funky music every
5mins for the driving scenes.
Fallon, and Queen are only bright spots.
I wish they cut more of the move out.

Thanks POT

Did u even watch it? missing 30 minutes!

I choose never to download POT releases as they are always sub-par. I wont complain, but I prefer no release than a half-a** release..

This reminds me of a old Finding Nemo release.

You're right. Cutting out parts of movies pisses me off, but with a movie like this, I doubt its a big deal.

FTF did this when 25th Hour came out. Their telesync ran about one hour and fifty minutes. The movie runtime was just over two and a half hours. Maybe they cut the extra scenes to fit it on one disc?
