Troy *NTSC* - DVDRIP - MPTDVD

Downloaded the sample of this, perfect quality.

I wish they would have compressed it though, not a big fan of movies spanning 2 dvds.

10/10/8

"Why 2 discs.. because the bitrate would be to low.."

No its b/c you guys are credit whores with your DVD9's and DVDs spanning 2 discs when there suppose to be 1.

Are there any programs that merge two dvds together?

Posted by Raven on 10-10-2004 01:12 AM:

@axalon - dvd2one does it using the join disk mode.

Still waiting for the R1 release of this .. too bad this is R3. I really dont think the 2 discs were needed .. i mean the PAL 1 disc release looks the exact same as this. I'll pass, but good try guys.

I fail to understand what the problem is.
If you were shelling a couple of bucks for a blank then yes I'd get it.

Blanks (8x) are under 50 cents now.
When the DL blanks show up they'll be in the$5 range.

So for $1 you get to watch an great movie uncompressed.

Remember back in the day when these movies would come out in 2 or 3 SVCD Discs? Nobodby bitched about it then(unless you liked watching VCD versions)

Nobody is forcing you to download it.. its there for the taking.

Stilll could be a little while yet for the R1 RETAIL of TROY. The only 2 disc DVDR i downloaded last year was LOTR: Return of the King.HEHE.
Anyways, the scene has been rather slow lately, I'm happy with my Telecine copy or my DVDRip proper till the Retail. Troy seems to be suffering the same fate as Van Helsing. One week pre RETAIL. Oh well, Troy doesn't street in the USA till January so we'd be lucky to see it before Late NOv. even December Still no Spidey 2 WS and that date is closing in fast!!

Just my two cents: I'm NOT downloading this sucker when i already have a decent rip of it and have watched it several times. I do give props to MPT for the release though!!

Elmer, the DL blanks are out and they're about $7 or so. Please don't use the "nobody is forcing you to downloading it" clause. I understand that, I'm simply critiqueing their release in saying I would prefer a compressed one disc version rather than split into two.

Wow.. People complain about everything. So what thats its on 2 discs. Your getting the movie for nothing... are you guys to lazy to get your fat asses off the couch and change the disc ? If you cant live with 2 discs... then wait till jan, rent it from netflix and rip/reencode your damn self.

Posted by commiewhore on 10-11-2004 10:23 PM:

retail is 2 discs....dunno why people complain on it

not sure if the movie spans two discs, but who cares.

this is a good movie, already preordered it.

i did however grab this rls to see if it was actually real, and in my

disgust, found dvd 2 freezes bout half way through the movie.

video = 8

audio = 8

movie = 9

the vide and audio scores stay the same, but like their internal rlse of Dawn of the Dead this freezes right in middle dvd2, in dawn of the dead the mess was in dvd1 and dvd2 wouldnt play all extras, but thats a different movie....anyhow, this freezes just like it, might not happen on all dvd players, but happened on mine and 2 other folk i know....enjoy

Posted by vip3r on 10-17-2004 09:12 AM:

The retail is infact 2 discs, 1 is movie, other is special features.

Posted by blahblah on 10-29-2004 01:59 AM:

^That maybe with the retail. But when i downloaded this the movie was split into two separate discs.

Posted by bmfspeed on 11-02-2004 11:32 PM:

Ok your worried about it being on 2 discs where if you purchase intervideo burning software from www.ussa.com or www.usaa.com which is only 11.00$.

What that software lets you do is burn a dvd that is 9.4 gb to a 4.7gb disc without loss of quality and what the program also lets you do is have 2 video ts folders on one disc which other programs do not allow.

Now after you realize this for 11.00$ any dvd you want on 1 disc, unbeatable...but my question is ::

What is the link to the Troy.NTSC.DVDRip.MPTDVD i cannot find the torrent link anywhere..
