Video is untouched, but it's r3 so it gets a 9

Audio is nice, it gets a 10.

Movie could have been better i thought, i gave it a 7

Gay. Gay. And last but not least, GAY!

This is from a R3 dvd. Hard to believe that the video is untouched (movie was 2hr 7min long)..maybe it came off some shitty DVD5 disc or the DVD9 just had a ton of extras..quality is perfect though..still going to wait for R1 & then buy the "boxset" for this one.

9/10/9 - Still gonna get a 9 for me for video, even if it is untouched..its R3 and R1 def looks somewhat better

WoW ! Was BooZerS Region 3 like alot of their DVDR's are??? .. I think so , How was BooZerS Release Damn Nice but MPT's Gay Gay Gay?

I actually seen a few places nuke this because it was Region 3 ... Yet i see alot of Region 3 BooZerS DVDR's archived.

I hate to use you as an example vip3r, but too many people latley are voting/commenting/nuking on the release grp and not the actual movie. You were a good example.

As for this Movie , Yes Region 3, Nice Release for those who dont mind a different menu and dont want French/Spanish Subs. The Quality besides a bit dark looks great and sounds good also.

Region 1 Retail is in 4 weeks so i think im going to pass on this and just purchase the DVD when released ... to collect dust! ... but one of those movies you just have to have.

For those who want a diff looking menu and French/Spanish Subs wait about 3 to 4 weeks for Region 1 DVDR. Those who couldnt give two shits about Subs or how a menu looks , MPTDVD Gj on this movie. Finally someone released a DVDR after all those crappy cropped *FS* made into *WS* XVID/SVCD Rips.

10/10/

if your Dvd player is multiregion dont see any problem?

Great Release 10/10/8

dont give 2 shits about menu subs, just movie for me

6/9/7

The 6 for video coz it's not that great and has a bitrate of just above svcd specs.

MPTDVD cant help that ofcoz, coz they state it's untouched video, but its just too low. The R1 and R2 retail dvds will definately be dvd9 (like the FS was), so even an encoded version will have more bitrate available for the movie (since this one didnt even use up the complete space available for a dvdr).

Hence i'll wait for one of those.

Spider-Man 1 was 1.85:1. This one seems to be 2.35:1. Can this release be trusted. I don't want some cropped PDVD...

This has the same ratio as most of those so called nukes, if anyone bothered to compare them, rather than go on hear say.

Yes the first one was 1:85:1, but this one was filmed in 2:35:1, I remember being pleased at the cinema, as i hate watching 1:85:1 in cinemas.

And if you dont believe me then check here.

As for this release, Im not keen, for untouched the video is poor, and I doubt the R1 or R2 versions will be able to fit on a DVD5.
Its the best version yet, but Id be willing to wait.

For everyone's information, the video from the first movie fitted on a dvdr nicely untouched, that's from a r2 uk copy, can't comment on the r1 version but I'm pretty sure it was the same. This was due to a ton of extras. Picture wasn't great because of this.

Posted by JoshNya on 10-31-2004 08:45 PM:

I don't think this even works. You hit PLAY on the menu and it crashes. Definatly wait for the R1.

Posted by vip3r on 10-31-2004 09:10 PM:

Heh...why did i go crazy over dawn of the dead? Because it was 3-4 month pre-store, R3 or not .. that's great. This isn't even a 1 month pre-store, and it's still R3. Hence my stupid post in this thread ..

Posted by Miller on 10-31-2004 09:40 PM:

sample was enough for me. its nice dvd release , great sound and whatnot but i'll wait for R1

R3 with ugly colors Spiderman.2.2004.PAL.DVDR-NmG looks much better (and has lot of subs)

happy with this rls, was a long time coming. will do nicely until the r4 retail hits my town in dec.

8/10/8

untouched video should get a 10, but whatever country the source is from clearly don't author to the same standards we're used to. pretty grainy, but definitely watchable.

Not sure if its my player but picture stops and starts on chapter 22 and from chapter 37 you cant watch it keeps stopping and starting anyone else with this problem or just me.
