teg_vcd.avi

Have been given a CD with the following file:
The Bourne Supremacy teg_vcd.avi

It plays a black screen with no audio.
I have noted comments on other threads about Kazza, but I do not know if this is where this one wos downloaded from.

Is there a special application or codec needed to watch a 'teg'.

Dennis

Yep, it's a crappy re-encode of somebody elses release (or a total fake). teg have been doing it forever, fuck knows why. You probably need some custom codec for it but it probably looks like shit anyway.

You need to find a better source for your movies, and before you ask... DON'T!

what is happening is you have the audio codec to play the file but you do not have the video codec. get this application... http://www.headbands.com/gspot/download.html it will tell you what codec you need to get to play the file.
