-- King Arthur *DC* *WS* *DVDR* - DVDRIP - MPT (http://forum.vcdq.com/showthread.php?threadid=50498)

Anyone have the full release of this yet, because from random rars ive previewed the quality looks worse than the XVID, and I even found what looked like a "Making Of" Documentary, also the running time is too short to be the DC, unless the NFO is a misprint.

I dont really want to waste BW if its been done with DVD Shrink, which it looks like.

From what ive saw so far.

I can't comment for the group ... but with the bit of research I've done on this ... the 126 minute runtime is what's posted on www.imdb.com ... however, if you check the R1 release (knowing this is R3, but they shouldn't be that much different) the runtime states is 138 minutes for the Directors Cut ... silly mixup in the .nfo if you ask me ...

As for the DVDshrink issue, not the best quality, could have been better assuming the dvd had as many extras as amazon listed, the video should look better than it does ... too each their own I guess, each encoder is different.

/end rant

Grab CTPs version sweet for me.

Posted by Redemption198 on 11-13-2004 01:37 AM:

CTP's is FS which apart from being cropped to hell, also looks shit on a WS TV, also FS is bitrate hungry so the quality is usually worse than the WS version.

Main reason i wouldn't get the CTP one is, its not the Directors Cut.

No-One seems to have the full release to confirm the running time of this and what extras are on it, so ive started it again myself.

My first time voting.

7 VQ

10 Sound

8 Movie

I give it 7 on movie, because of pixels when there is fire and action.

Posted by Redemption198 on 11-13-2004 02:51 PM:

Spree15, was gonna post the same thing myself, though you missed the National Treasure trailer

Quality is so so on the movie, quality on the extras is shit, and the menus have obviously been re-encoded.

Are you serious, This isnt perfect but its still alot better than any SVCD version, plus it has 5.1 sound.

If anyone wants to see this now, then get this one, but If your fussy about quality then wait for a movie only, CCE encoded version, cause im sure this is DVD Shrinked, and i would of rathered they kept the DTS track than the extras.

wot the fuck is everyone moaning about ? its free at the end of day so just injoy or better still , IF YOUR ALL SUCH NO IT ALL,S MAKE A BETTER COPY AND PUT IT ON A BOT AND LETS SEE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
!!!!!!!!!!

rating 9/9/9

[EDIT:: How original, nobody ever said that before! - Neversoft]

Posted by Redemption198 on 11-13-2004 04:12 PM:

LOL, Neversoft.

Just because something free, doesn't mean we cant moan, and if we didn't moan at the quality, it would make this site kinda redundant.

If your B/W is capped, then its definetly not free, and considering the NFO is lies then if you were paying extra to get this and it isn't quite what it says it is, then you'd be quite pissed.

Quality matters if its free or not, and no doubt one of the better DVDR groups like Boozers, Replica or Centropy will do a much better version of this, and that will be free(ish) too.

put it on a bot, how l33t that would be. u do know groups don't release their movies to irc bots right????

people can complain or how u said moan, it may be free for you from a IRCD bot, but if some one is using their credits to download the release, then they can complain since wasting 4.3gb worth if credits would be shit!

lol

anyway

Video Quality if fine for me, audio is great, and well movie was so so

Saint, you seem to be talking in British money here, so im guessing your from UK.

Not many people have a connection in the UK to download a full DVD in 3 hours, takes me at least twice that and im on 1.5mb, so your on at least 3mb or more, that wont come cheap, so you have to include that in the price.

Trying 1 rar isn't accurate, the first few i tried looked OK, but some others weren't and then I noticed the Documentary.

Im not saying im totally ungrateful for this, but this film isn't much longer than Riddick, but Riddick looks much better than this does, even though the Movie vobs were smaller.

Or check what people are saying about the quality on vcdquality forums, seeing as that's the whole point of them being here.

If you didn't come here to see how others rated the quality, why did you?

I was commenting on the persons opinion of the ctp release. Basically i'm happy with the proper dvdrip till a R1 Retail DVDR pres. Thank You!!

DVDShrink copies aren't my style....

Posted by commiewhore on 11-14-2004 09:31 AM:

video = 8 ...dark scenes bring out some faded blocks

audio = 9 ...audio good its dts

movie = 6 ...was ok at best...kinda cliche

r3 retail wont play on some players will on others, dvd shrink fucks up with the dvd i believe since retail store boughts "should" work on my model....but these freeze part way, example, internal dawn of dead complete, troy, van helsing, etc ....your hurting dvdr burners around the world...the terrorists have won

Wasn't the best encode .. watched this on the tv a few hours ago. This is good enough for me though. Now i have the FS and WS DC DVDR's .. what more could ya ask for ..

I have read through this topic but still don't understand whether this is a DC or not? The same running time in nfo and imdb.
