well as cams go, this could have been real bad.
but its not its quite good realy.

shure there are these Real faint lines horizontal.
but there hardly noticable unless you Pause the playback.

cropped a bit at the top not to much, but bottom is ok.

Audio is standard for a cam but i would say this is above the norm. (for a cam)
the sample is a battle scene with lots of
shouting and music in the background.
quite loud but the audio dosent realy over modulate or suffer because of this.
not too tinny.

Again sorry to say but this all from the sample, so if the full movie differs in anyway i will edit this and add the extra info below....

Resolution: 352*240
Aspect ratio: 4:3 NTSC 525
Framerate: 29.97
Nom. bitrate: 1150000 Bit/Sec

I appreciate the effort from POT, but damn, these released are bad...Can we all pitch in and get them a good camera..at least they show us every week that they are willing to do this. This release is not good..pic is dark and faded, grainy, just not good. sound is not good either....

Where are the big boys?? havent heard from them in a while.

alexander: 4/4/?

Better than your avg. POT cam.
Tad blurry, sound hollow, but to be expected from cam, not horrible.
Still hard to see what's going on in fast-motion scenes.
This is almost watchable in my book.
But I think I'll wait on a TS.

well its def not one of pots best(like ray), but its still good, i am basing this off of just the sample as im waiting for a TS release which POT will probably put out in the next 5 days...

sample*
6/6/?

i dont think this deserves anything higher then 6 because while watching the sample i couldnt even tell who the main actor was in the battle, just looked all jumbled and blurred....may make watching this release a little confusing unless you GUESS who the main guy running around is lol(probably by his helmet)

Posted by xjules on 11-26-2004 10:12 PM:

Video- Colors perfect, a little blurry.
Audio- Typical cam. Meh.
Movie- Couldn't care less.

7/4/?

3 discs?
Oh, the movie's three hours long.

Posted by JuJuJigga on 11-26-2004 10:35 PM:

Wow very bad rls .. Video had lines in it, Audio cut in and out at times and had alot of static in it.
The Movie was horrible, the begining was slow to get anywhere interesting and the movie just draged on and on and on.

4/3/1

Posted by CARLlTOS on 11-26-2004 10:44 PM:

Wow this movie is really long for a cam to be 3cds
this could mean it could be 4cds in vcd
its grainy and cropped on the top
the sound is hollow

5/5/?

Posted by statehack on 11-26-2004 10:51 PM:

The begining had static and the sound is typical CAM but is clear. Picture is a little dark but watchable. Slightly above average for a POT.CAM. Props for release speed.

The movie wasn't as good as expected.

come on guys!! this release is a tad lower than the usual standard. whats happened? lets hope that this is a one off and lets get back to business as usual.

copy is still watchable if you cant wait but they're fucking quick with the early releases.

Hi everyone,

I just finished watching this whole release.
Are you ppl kidding me, this is near 3 hours long, 2 hours 47 minutes.
I'm impressed with this one, seeing the length and also not a single head popped up anywhere thru it, the audio has a hiss but it's loud to begin with. If you play it at a normal level the hiss virtually dissapears and the audio sounds really good for a cam on a standard TV, not hollow or tiny nor any audiance bkgrnd noise at all.
The colors are faded, and there is a slight green tint to it, which I suspect is from a YUY2 encode in order to gain speed, but nothing major.
The fight scenes are clear enough and I had seen no pixelation on the standard TV during them. The dark scenes are fine, and you see what is ment to be seen.

Not bad Pot.. as I said I'm impressed, no telling what the silver looked like.

This is more than watchable, unlike the cams of Birth and Saw.
As for the movie it was a nice History lesson.

The thing I have about a "better" release coming is that we know that certain groups, use their own cams, where as Pot uses silvers that anyone can get off the street corner.

Those certain groups have yet to worked out the White Spot issues and this movie has many scenes like Troy did where they shoot and Pan the battlefields, ( a big whitespot area if you remember), and also there are a number of times that the sun is directly in the scene or actually looked at purposely during the movie, so I'm curious as to how they will workout this problem in this movie, when they can't work it out in simple animations or other releases. Also this is complete from Title to end credits and we know that a particular group is known for missing it's endings in epic films.

Compared with the first cam releases of epic films such as LOTR, Troy, King Arthur, this is a nice release.

Thumbs down

Really Bad Quality, Just tried to watch and almost had a fit

4/6/? (Couldn't Finish It)

Posted by CCkid on 11-27-2004 01:53 AM:

I couldn't get through without having to keep trying to find a good medium to listen to the sound. It was very hissy and choppy. The video is pretty much the same...washed out, lines running thru the pic. Average or a little below as far as cams go..
