Flair is probably the group out there with consistently great releases. They need to release "Cloak and Dagger" next! If they have already I must have missed it.

Actually, it's funny I mentioned this about a year ago or more, and I'm still waiting

Classic X-Mas movie of course. High quality rip as usual from the guys at FLAiR. I'm probably one of the few people that actually still have a laserdisc player and use it on a frequent basis. The audio quality on laserdiscs is superior to DVDs. If you don't believe that, then :P

9/10/7
It is my opinion is that if you don't vote a 10 on the audio on this. you're stupid. But that's just my opinion

i also loved this movie as a youngster its strange that so many of you were scared

Hi everyone,

I'm really surprised at the high numbers this is pulling in.

First off this is not the original version of this classic but one of the few remakes of it dating from 1965 or after. The "Fame and Fourtune" song instead of the "Missfits" song, which was in the original 1964 airing of this is the dead give away. Also Santa picking up the misfit toys was not on the original either.

I suspect that this was actually done quite sometime after 1965 because of the faded green Elf costumes which were originally blue in color but had faded over the years due to the film it was on.

Another thing about this version is the fact that the scenes that FLAiR writes about in their NFO is really only one scene. It appears to have actually been spliced in, hence Hermy and Rudolph cross over the same log twice and arrive at their destination twice in the same scene, while not losing a beat in their Fame and Fortune song, which as I stated above was not the original song, lol.

It's hard for me to believe that this overly bright, badly faded, and blurred version was put onto a Laserdisc.

The Restored version of this classic is great and is just how I remember it when it first aired bk in 1964,( showing my age again), and it also has added scenes and songs that wasn't on the original.

as for this;

vid - 5
Aud - 8
Mov - 10 ( brings bk memories of a time when things weren't so complicated)
