This i snice, way nice. the Movie is grea watched the previous release. I wish that they, TheFly, would get a DVDR affil - or COOP DVDSCR deserve a DVDR re;ease. 4 GB ain't that mihc nowadys.

a fine rip indeed but a tad unnecessary as retail is due 1/25/05. Great rip of a good football film, but i'm happy till retail pres very soon TheFly making a name for themselves in style

as for the movie, great quality - both sound and audio. movie was not as good as i wanted it to be (the book was one of my joys of reading back in high school).

considering midland-lee won the national championship five years ago (when cedric benson was playing there), i wouldn't go so far as to say 'every year' (and i believe they won the state championship in Benson's sophomore through senior years, which is a rather remarkable and near impossible feat in Texas HS football)...

It will probably come out no matter what on dvdr and xvid. If they dont share it with another group, or release it as another group, another group will obtain the source somehow and rip it

Not DVD-R quality but you can rip both SVCDs with a image drive and then put both parts on one DVD-R

Also from sample it's a nice release for one of the best all-time sports movies

CD1 average bitrate 1760 kbps peak 2841 kbps
CD2 average bitrate 1830 kbps peak 3016 kbps

9000k max bitrate is only in the frame headers

DVDPatcher can quickly change it if your player doesn't like it

What gives? I am reading nothing but good reviews about this release yet the VCDQ page shows the avg ratings to be @: 6.3/9.7/8.7.

If this is a good DVD screener release why is the video rating well below 7? Surely someone is missing something here.

BigFeat: surely you have never EVER opened your eyes and properly looked around...

You need to realise that the people that vote on the main page enjoy voting straight 1's or straight 10's..and then fuck up the ratings. Honestly, if you trust that rating, or even the jpegs posted on the site, better yet - some of the reviews here for that matter..then...well, you need to erm .. *edited* lol :P

I figure that anyone that finds time to post on this forum would have some underlying responsibility to be truthful about their postings or opinions. I have no reason to think that members will maliciously skew ratings and willingly post incorrect information on the forums. I understand everything is subjective, but usually from what I've observed in the past couple years the review/content ratio seems to be somewhat consistent. If the ratings and forums are utterly useless and include opinions of nitwits and spiteful cumquats then I guess that means you and I fall in line with all of them because we are on here.

IMO, This was a very good release. I fixed the bitrate using "DVDPatcher" as mentioned in an earlier post and burned it to CD and it played in my stand alone just fine. The Video is crisp and the colors are great. The audio sounds perfect. I would like to say thanks to TheFly for the release, keep up the good work.

NO black and white screens. It does have a scroller that only comes up 4 times and is only on the screen about 10 seconds. Movie played fine on my standalone. I didn't have to do anything, but burn it. GREAT release GREAT movie. Thanks for the release fly
