alright heres the thing...cnat burn any Columbia/Tristar dvds....The Forgotten I cant even backup onto my computer....also noticed this with other Columbia movies like Resident Evil/ Apocalpyse too!

any help would be appreciated!

A little more info would really help. And I can definitely tell you that your problem has nothing to do with the film's production studio (LOL!) Like what version are you downloading them in (.rar, avi, etc) what program are you using to extract, encode, and or burn and what program or standalone you use to watch them.

Yes I have heard that some newer discs have additional copy protection on them.

After ripping them with DvdDecrypter (ignore the message that says "Arrrrgggh! Too Many 'Pack Header Not Found' Errors!"), run it through VobBlanker (the latest version removes unreferenced material, which is what the protected sectors are), then run it through dvdshrink.

The new version of DVD Decryptor takes care of the most of the newer copy protection that is on discs like Resident Evil. Just run it through DVD Decryptor then use DVDShrink. That should solve your problems.
