Saw (2004) R1 *NTSC* - DVDRIP - ThP

so was anipunk R3 then, cuz I thought french was R2 and PAL??

Anipunk was region 1..... THP is full of shit.. Let the sheepnukers resolve it, and add a NUKE to thier group list =).

Why keep English 2.0 audio? Thats my question...

Posted by OmegA on 02-04-2005 08:22 AM:

LOL ThP you just made yourselves look bad on this one. ANiPUNK was R1, EMERALD just made a mistake in their FIX nfo calling the English 2.0 audio French. No need for this release.

Wow... ThP has some serious balls. They are claiming that they kept ALL audio tracks (including DTS), a making of, music video and a featurette, ALL WITH a bit rate higher than the movie only version by Anipunk. That is absolutely impossible, 4100 might be possible (barely IMO), but 5100 is a nice fat lie. But this could just be a typo in the nfo.

Top this off with that it is a dupe technically. But I am sure people will welcome this with open arms due to the video glitch in the previous version (which I am surprised they didn't even mention in the ThP NFO )

to hoozdapimp: Most R1 retails have French because of Quebec. And since R1 covers both USA and Canada, they have to make versions to suit both countries. BUT, there are sometimes US and Canada separate releases (ie: Brotherhood of the Wolf, The Pianist) but mostly they are a single release for both countries.

so basically yall are saying keep with the other release. whats with this release anyways. i doubt yo ucould fit DTS and 5.1 at the same time.

Posted by chknwing on 02-04-2005 03:04 PM:

umm where does the nfo say that THP kept 5.1, it states "DTS , DD2.0 and DC all kept" doesn't say it kept 5.1. So without 5.1, the bitrate probably is 5100.

Thp don't claim that they kept all audio is says DTS and DD2.0 DC and in the end of the nfo they say an internal DD5.1 rels. is comming.

Ahh yes... I did misread that.

But still, that doesn't change the outcome by much (336megs). The DTS track is 576megs, both the DD2.0 tracks are 288megs. The video is 3825megs (at 5100kbit/sec). Add that together and you have 4689megs, which is 4,916,772,864bytes, which is too big to fit on a DVD-R. And I didn't even start to include the "extras" and the menu in that calculation.

So the NFO probably has a typo, as 5100 is impossible.

Anipunk release has a glitch in it that is not due to bad media, so i would be happy to check this one out

Posted by Fire_Sokar on 02-05-2005 06:09 PM:

other then group flameing. does anyone have a comments on the quality, i am interested in this release due to the glitch in video from anipunk's release. p.s. Anipunk's is R1

Posted by HaLiKuS on 02-05-2005 06:47 PM:

No glitch, DTS. Nice.
Looks good on "Big TV". Nice.
Still rated version. Bah.
Final synnopsis : Its better than bad, thats good!
9.5/10/9

I think the DD 2.0 is for the people without DTS decoders (They would only hear left/right front speakers, no voice or centre channel). Director commentaries can allways go too IMO.

I saw the glitch in the anipunk release, not that big of a deal but still, a perfectionist may want to download this version, although with all the audio tracks intact the picture may look a lil assy...
