you probably installed a stupid codec pack....the movie is more than likely fine...i suggest you uninstall the crappy codecs you have right now, and install the latest xvid binary at koepi's website.

Stupid fucker, he may damage the monitor. What he needs to do is turn everything in the Universe and the entire fabric of space/time (except his monitor) upside down.

if i was in his position and couldn't figure it out i might of done just that, newer generation ati cards come with software that lets you adjust your screen in any position, stumbled upon it accidently and used it as a way to keep my computer illiterate brother away for awhile.

Sometimes the movies I download are upside down as well, I've managed to solve the problem though, this smiley should explain all:

Why'd you change it? I was only joking!

I've had about 10 avatars in the last 24h, I'm trying to find one I like... I thought the Tsunami one was funny but I didn't really "like" it.

I've got a pretty good one of two dogs fucking done in the style of a road sign, I may use that yet

juss install the OFFICIAL codec, and not those dumbass codec packs, and then your prob should be solved.

Don't you get a bigger avatar anyway, being a posh moderator and all?

I think so, if I ask nice enough... Not that I particularly want one.

I would have to agree with everyones ...its a codec problem....but now what do you do?

1) find the right codec to display it right
2) convert the file to another file format and flip it.

I cant help you with (1) , but if you need to do (2) & the file is an avi you can try virtualDub.

Open with virtualDub: Video: Filters
From the filters dialog:Add: flip horizontal

make sure to set full video processing & set a codec that you know will show up correctly...then wait wait wait ...

You can do this with an mpeg1 file (or a mpeg2 file if you have the plugin) but this takes even longer

::EDIT:: A free program called GSpot will identify the required Codecs, grab it from www.doom9.org - Neversoft::

Even sadder would it be if you didn't. I'd question your masculinity.
