SVCD Rips Skipping during play
Numerous times when I rip a SVCD, the video does this wierd pause every couple of seconds. Like it's a write protection thing or the CD can't handle the data stream and is hesitating. It's very consistent and constant throughout the whole movie.
Does anyone have any suggestions or even know what I'm talking about? I never read that this is a problem in the reviews, seems like it's something I should be able to fix or others would be complaining.
Thanks!!
Try burning the same release at a slower speed and/or buy better (cheaper) media.
sounds like your dvd player dont play svcd's.
does it play vcds fine?
if so get a better dvd player
is it a movie or the movies. Maybe your bittrate is too high? Reconsider using a lower one.
Thanks for all the ideas!
It seems to be happening with all the SVCD's for awhile now. DVD player was playing SVCDs just fine before.
Never even thought it could have been the brand of CD's, I'll certainly try a different brand with the same movie to see if that's what it is.
How do I double check or change the bitrate?

Cyberhome makes a wonderful dvd player, sells for 39 US$. Available at BEst Buy in the states. It is a great player. Aint worth the whole 'figuring it out'. Get that one, and you will be happy
I had the same problems with my first dvd player. The bitrate is too high. Try lowering bitrate. If you dont have time to reencode the movie, try this trick:
