-- Racing Stripes *SVCD* - DVD SCR - TEG-VCD (http://forum.vcdq.com/showthread.php?threadid=59718)

Posted by IRC_Moviefan on 03-11-2005 06:33 PM:

heh nice nfo TEG-VCD !

I agree with what they said, right after this was released i seen the usual release announce bot say this was nuked for same source as KEG.

Now KEG *claims* this is the exact same source as their TC ... if so where is their proof ? , TEG-VCD added proof that theirs is clearly a DVDScreener
Racing.Stripes.WS.DVD.SCREENER.SVCD-TEG-VCD/Screener-Statment/

*If* this was the exact same source as KEG's TC , then KEG doesnt know how to encode as their telecine was blocky and looked like shit compaired to this (from the compair i have seen so far)

And once again, i find it extremly funny that the exact same people who nuked this for same copy as KEG's TC , are the exact same people who unnuke ORCALES TS of Cursed for "aspect ratio is fine" (when it was clearly missing half the screen)

Movie scene is really turning to shit when grps who been around as long as TEG-VCD have to "prove" themselfs when they release something, and even when they do prove themselfs a grp like KEG (whos only been around 3 months) tells all their kiddies in ******* to scene nuke this. (announce bots)

Dont you just love movie politics

Agree'd TEG-VCD (quote from nfo)
Have a nice day, assholes. For the rest of you, enjoy another fine DVDSCR from your friends at: TEG-VCD, MoF, TEG-DVD

If you havent picked up KEG's poorly encoded TC , TEG-VCD's DVDScreener is the copy to get.

Keep em comming TEG-VCD , you guys are on fire!

I gotta disagree IRC_Moviefan, why would KEG claim it was a TC, if they knew it was a DVD-Screener, it dont make sense, also TEG's proof is kinda laughable, 2 Bitmaps that could easily been done by them, or whoever supplied this to them, is hardly proof, also the so called "proof" says that there would be marketing Information displayed throughout the film, I couldn't find any watermarks or messages, at least not from CD1, they're either lying, or have been fooled by they're supplier.

Not to mention both releases look practically Identical, this is a bit better encoded though, and KEG's was a DVD2SVCD encode, but both are definetly TC's, the Warner logo on both releases is riddled with dirt and the colours are off.

Rated as a DVD-Screener.

6/9/?

The same frame below of each release

Keg TC

Teg's DVD Screener
http://img238.exs.cx/img238/9779/teg0fh.jpg

As you can see, theres little to no difference, both have the same scratch, and both look the same, if you look closer you can see that Teg's is slightly better encoded, but not by much.

Also have to wonder why the TEG picture also has the same bizzare discoloration along the whole left side of the picture like KEG had...

I actually agree with you MovieFan .. reading the stuff that has been posted here lately is laughable been around along time never felt like posting something until now.

First I've actually watched this rlease unlike 99.9% of the people who rate the movies here for postcount I remember reading the rules along time ago and said don't base your post on the sample etc etc but you actually read the posts people will say from sample etc etc what a load of crap. * and not to knock the mods but clearly you say in your rules that people who post all the crap with out rating the movie will be banned then start doing it instead of always posting it and not doing anything you will ban the new guy in a second but the old timers you let slide time after time and they are the ones that should actually know the rules better then anybody else* * end of rant *

Personally I think the copy was good picture was better then average as far as all the sheep * you know who you are * that are on your rings or whatever that follow what somebody else says when nuking stuff take a second out of your oww so busy day and actually look at the quality of the movie your self before nuking it cause you saw it say nuked on some bot.

People need to start thinking for them selves and get back to what is important and what the scence used to be like

I think they were referring to the trailers before the film.

And you should notice that almost all teg's dvdscr's are without watermarks so stop talking about stuff you know nothing about.

plus you can barely make a compare the sources by using some of the first images. you have to go mid movie where there is either really dark scenes or really light scenes.

So before you speak make sure you know what youre talking about.

Grab it

True story...they do look exactly the same... r u sure u didnt capture the same release twice?

Anyways, the earlier TC release looked fine to me and i just saw a couple of rars from TEGs dvd screener...it does look a bit better to me to be honest...not sure though if it's same source or not.

I would grab this one if i didnt have either yet ...
NOTE: haven't seen the whole release so i dont know if it has sync issues or missing scenes ...

i believe all TEG's rls are TC's, i think theyd get more respect also for rlsing them as tc's as tc's are very difficult to cap etc

u can tell they are the same source. if you look at the left side of both rls u can see that there is a discolouration bit all the way up the side on both. check it yourself. ive always been suspicous of teg's "dvdscr's"
especially recently when they tried to prove it was a real dvdscr by "leaving in" the trailers, which turned out to not belong to that dvd (seperate source)

ah well

Posted by qwertyu on 03-11-2005 11:00 PM:

Umm, same release; period.

In fact good example; look at Redemption1980's screenshots, notice the flaw on the middle right of the screen, the imprefection on other releases, both copies have it.

Rating:

Audio: 7
Video: 7
Movie: 6

Note: No watermarks

Are Centropy's FS DVDRips TELECiNES ? Try telling them that ... why am i asking this ?

Not to long ago TEG-VCD Released a FS DVDScreener , less then 2 weeks later a FS DVDRip came out from Centropy. On one of the frames it had a serial (not gonna say which movie) but yet both TEG-VCD & Centropy had the EXACT same serials (different numbers) on the exact same frame.

Which lead me to believe that TEG & Centropy got from a plant somehwere in Africa , and TEG's source was faster and didnt have the menu/extras yet , where as Centropy's did. *Unmastered Retail*

Would Centropy be releasing TELECiNE's as DVDRips, i dont think so ..

Now mind you this was 5 months ago roughly, they might have got a new supplier since then , who knows. All i can say is Centropy's FS DVDRips vs TEG-VCD's FS DVDScr in the *past* have had the exact same framed serials on them.

Which is why i dont believe ....

Read my post properly, and read the "proof" file again.
Marketing Information will be displayed throughout the course of the FILM, so they're not talking about the trailers.

I never said DVD-Screeners cant have watermarks, but a watermark free copy which looks like a TC, most likely is a TC.

Before you speak, or type, show me proof of the contrary.

Anyway, see below.

Keg TC Beginning of CD2.

Teg DVD Screener

Not exactly the same frame, but near enough, and its obvious both are near identical, a bit too for my liking, and you can see that this also has the purple bar down the left side.

TC IS A TC ...DVD SCREENER WITOUT WATER MARKS IS NICE...

Posted by infinityfsp20 on 03-12-2005 11:47 AM:

Is it so hard to believe this could be a TC? Blade Trinity obviously was...and isnt it a bit early for DVDSCR's?

Never trust when other groups claim a release to be something...

The scene is a competition and there is several people trying to bring down groups when a few groups are at "war" therefore if they have a opportunity to make it look like mislabeled they will try.

But anyway people believe what you want in here =) remember TEG has been around for 4-5 years with LOTS of releases... KEG only did 5 and have been claiming stuff about TEG for a while now... my guess would be that they are at "war"

Why go to all this trubble to release a tc as a dvd screener when it still has cigarette burns ?

let me say that EVERYTHING goes through a telecine..

The dvdscr depends on how the company are having them made. DVDSCR's aren't meant to be perfect they are only made for previewing therefore quality doesn't matter.

So making a copy of a reel is easiest way around

Posted by shezareeni on 03-12-2005 09:06 PM:

I wish teg-vcd would stop labelling their releases as dvdscreener. Non of these releases that they have done over the past few months have been. Every release they have done has been a good quality TC most of which are freely available to purchase a few days before they release them.

How do i know? well i had racing stripes exact same a few days even before KEG released it. I have lost all respect for TEG (even though its not the real TEG and actually run by TUN these days). The old TEG crew would have never labeled these releases purposes like this.

All i say is yes they are good quality but NO THEY ARE NOT DVDSCREENERS so please label them properly like you did with HITCH (released under TUN instead of TEG).

This rls would get same as keg version imo no major improvement.

wow, you guys are really ranting about who makes what and what is from where and why does who do what...... only thing I don't see in these posts are actual ratings for this movie, not someone elses release. Just saying, the reason I read these forums is to find out about the actual release....
