WINAVI encoding problem - Hostage
I joined the two parts of Hostage with AVI Joiner, and then converted to DVD with WINAVI (same process as i always use). The conversion just hung at 87%. I had to do a force-quit, and started again. Same thing - hangs at 87%. Never had this problem before. Any ideas?
Thanks everyone.
TRY using divxfix & Virtual Dub to join them then make your dvd.
but they're mpeg files. isn't DIVFIX only for AVI files?
Dont join them.......just convert your audio...patch your headers and burn to DVD. Try a search on this forum...there are 17389476 (Give or take a few) threads about it already.

quote:use the avi files if you fix them. it sounds like the avi files have a slight problem. maybe on avi 2. you might want to check that. some files play fine as avi but run into problems when trying to convert them...

i cant edit so here is anouther post.
i have never converted a mpg with winavi. i believe it has problems with this. i only convert avi to dvd with this tool. you may want to try Tmpgenc to get this done correctly. but for me i used Virtual dub to recreate my avi's and then i use winavi to make my dvd of this movie and all worked fine.
