Confused about rating system...

hello folks. I love this site and check it daily but i'm confused about the rating system.

for example, the new release of Hostage - TUN, has a rating listed as 7.5/7.4/8.0, but everyone who saw it and posted gave it 9's.
Which one to go by???

So how did the rating get dropped down, and is there a way to find out the reason for the lower rating? (ie: hiss, colors are off, etc).

I'd prefer not to waste my bandwidth getting a crappy version, so that's why i'm asking here.

The votes posted in the comments threads mean nothing tbh, the rating is calculated as an average by actually clicking on the rating and voting in there... Hence the discrepancy. Heck, I've noticed numerous posters giving one score in the comments thread and a totally different one on the voting/rating page.

Also, don't worry about some knobheads constantly marking movies down (like Moby008). The scores are averaged and you can only vote for each release once so they can't/don't affect the ratings that much.

is a dick he constantly gives good quality releases 1's and 2's you can rely on his votes at all
