nerovision express dvd from divx help please

Hi all,

I'm trying to make a dvd of all the episodes of Look Around You series 2, needed to choose the long play option to fit it on. i started it off, estimated time about 5 hours!
after about 2 hours it just gave up, no error message, no pop up saying it's failed. I had walked off obviously not being able to use my pc when nero is doing it's thing. i came back to find nero back at smartstart and one ruined disc.

Any ideas? The video files were all divx codec.

It's probably Nero's fault, it's a bit crap... Read one of the billion conversion guides on this site, grab yourself some better software and try again

try winavi for this type of convertion and arthur the final files with dvdlab

Might be your codec. I use Nerovision to convert and burn, I like it where you only do a couple of clicks and wait a few hours and have a burnt dvdr, without messing around with audio/video/vobs and all that stuff, no worries on sych either. Out of 100 burns probably 2 wasted dvdr. My sources are avi/svcd/vcd/divx/xvid.
Instead of the longplay, just custom it to fit the cd, decrease the bitrate.

would MPEG2 work on Nerovision express because i got a encoding error like 3 hours later when it tries to conver

thats the thing. I used to be a nero user. It was pure hell. To convert a avi to dvd and burn it took approx. 8 hours. I hated it. Seriously, consider using some other program (all of which is freeware).
