Question kvcd burning problem

whenever I burn a kvcd file and watch it on my stand alone dvd player..the video always seems to freeze in different areas for about 3-4 minutes, then takes off again...when the same file is viewed on a pc,it plays fine...am using Nero to burn and unchecking the compliant vcd button and have tried using a more powerful pc to burn ,thinking that maybe the extra power/ram would help, but still get the same results...any ideas?

It's probably because it's KVCD. KVCD's aren't a "proper" format, they're a hack and as such your DVD player isn't designed to play it but it's trying it's best.

The best thing I can suggest is to avoid KVCD's.

Well being a avid Kvcd encoder lessons learned and the errors your recieving on yer stand alone indicates to me that your dvd plr is not compatible with Kvcd's as stated before Kvcd is hacked and NOT always compatible i will say this...the 439 dvd plrs will play em better then any $120 pioneer etc, etc player the cheaper your dvd plr..the better they will work.

Or as pointed out further above, go for the original rather than the kvcd. Quality is always going to be superior.
