Picture is a bit shaky in the sample , audio is great tho

7/9/6

Not one of TUN's best telecine's. Since when do TELECiNE screen's shake ? I can understand a bit of movement but this is really bad. Nice audio , this is clear but the shaking is very annoying. Colors are good , AR is good , clear , sounds great ... shaking is too annoying for me.

6/9/?

STN - wont go there

SAOSiN - excellent picture , bit of dark flickering, hiss in audio

NBP - very blurry , excellent audio

TUN - good picture , good sound , non stop shaking screen

SAOSiN , NBP , TUN all have flaws ... but hey its free

from sample excellent picture and sound,
screen's shake part of the film on the sample.

keep up the good work tun.

From the sample the shaking isn't *that* bad, but it's definitaly noticeable. In the end of the sample, the sound seems to have a slight reverb.

V=8 (for the slight shaking, colors are really nice)
A=8 (there's a slight reverb at the end of the sample)
M=? (haven't seen it and not going to)

Saosins picture with this audio is the way to go with this movie.

There is nothing wrong with this release, the only reason why its shaking is becuase that was the way it was filmed, if you had better speakers with a subwoofer you would hear the rumbling of the robot about to fart and the screen shaking at the same time. its the way it was made.

Video 9.0

Audio 9.0

Movie 7.0

I Would say something else for the people that can't rate and judge correctly on this film, but i dont flame users, as per the rules, but you know what i would say about ya.

Ditto to the above 2 posts. This from sample seems flawless.

We are all being spoiled latley.

9/9/9

I see no reason to d/l, save ur bandwith.
SAOSiN is good enough if you got it. If not, then pick this one, since the slight hiss is gone

Audio: 8
Video: 8
Movie: 9

By far the best rel so far. Hope Meteor whack it on a dvd for us.
Certainly not the best TC from TUN but pretty damn good none the less.
Vid: 8.5
Aud: 9.0
Movie: 7.0 (Not as good as I thought it was gonna be)

yeah, i definately can see what you're talking about. watching it from 3 feet away from a 18 inch monitor, you can slightly see the shaking. if i look a bit closer, i can notice it easily. think it'll be fine on the tv.

Posted by scottyb25 on 03-24-2005 11:50 PM:

since when does a telecine get a worse rating than a telesync cam vs digitally copied from a reel makes no sense to me

::EDIT:: In that case, you don't understand the rating system. Compare like-for-like. The TS was excellent (for a TS) whereas this is a "decent" TC, see? - Neversoft::

Thumbs up

Thumbs up to TUN on this one SAOSiN had the excellent TS but this is the one i'll be watching. 9.0/9.0/Yet To Have Watched.

Just to back you up here, I picked up this release for a friend (I tend not to bother with svcd anymore) and I can confirm the weird shaking. Definitely a tc, but not the best quality.

However the speed of this release is amazing and it's definitely going to be the best for a good while yet. Always been a bit of a secret TUN fan and they haven't let us down this time. Keep up the good work lads.

Indeed there is some minor shakiness to this release. Watch the opening credits as its easier to notice with the stationary writing on the screen. IMO not a big fucking deal and this is still the best available release to date.
