Why?

I cant seem to see any of the user posted images, or avatars. And yes i check my options

I notice this more at work than at home... Does the same happen from different PCs on different networks?

I'm guessing it's ad-blocking software that's being a bit too keen.

im just using firefox on this one computer

That happened to me once when i monkeyed around with my options in firefox. Maybe try this:

Tools=>Options=>Web Features=>Make sure"load images" is checked but that "from originating website only" is unchecked.
