The fix doesn't seem to work for me. I get a "Binblock/patch validation failed" error message.
How can I manually change the AR setting to have the movie display correctly? VLC seems to be the only player which actually detects this AR flag (the clip plays with correct AR in WMP, MPC).
Bit late now, but simple solution is to get MPEG4 Modifier. open the file, and choose "Square Pixels". Now save the files out. Done 
Note: CD2 has a flag of "16:9 PAL pixel shape" when it should be Square Pixel. No wonder it gives a distorted picture. Interestingly if you don't apply the fix and you do get a distorted picture this means your media player is good and working properly. It's those media players that don't detect the wonky flag which are not so good media players.
