subtitles be gone
am i right in thinking that on a film with subs. it should be possible to deleat them as films with subs must come under tripple format, i.e. video, audio, text, is there anyway of doing this or am i just pissing in the wind.

im no expert, but i think it depends on the format of the movie
if its a dvd rip, the subs should be switchable, so you would be able to remove em with clonedvd etc.
svcd or xvid, subs will more than likely be "fixed" so the only way to get rid of em is to crop the picture......
if it's .avi and there is no .srt or other subtitle format file but subtitles are there...they are stuck there.**
SVCD can have switchable subs, but it's easier to hard encode them, either way hit the subtitle button your dvd player to see if they can be turned off. If not then **
VCD....they are there and they aint leavin**
**unless you crop the video.

i guess you could blur them with some kind of filter but it would really only be worth it for say the POTO (for those of you who dont know, the dvd screener had ?russian? subs only during some of the songs)
