Your old, no audio DVD problem

Alright I looked all over the forums first and googled....stil no answer here i go

I want to encode some SVCDs to DVDs (my friends wont go out and by a decent player....go fig) So far I've tried SAOSIN's The Ring 2 and their Amityville Horror.

I can encode the video to DVD format, no problem. But the audio will play for maybe like 2-5 minutes and it won't play anymore. I've tried many programs:

TMPGEnc 2.5 Plus
TMPGEnc 3 Xpress
Virtualdub-Mpeg2
TMPGEnc DVD author
DVD Santa

I've extracted the audio from the files and it still wont work. is SAOSIN adding in a corrupt frame to prevent people stealing their source audio?

Hi Sobaku. Below is the link to the method I use and it works flawlessly every time for me. I used it for the Ring 2 for a friend so it should work for you.
You probably use this method already,If so I do not know what your audio problem is as I've never had it.

Its the exact same method for svcds except the files you will have will have when you extact them with isobuster will be Avseq01.mpg, Avseq02.mpg and so on.Just load the first file into tmpgenc like the guide says and encode. I use Tmpgenc dvd author to author the resulting mpeg.Only time you will have a problem will be if there is a silence at the end of one of the mpeg2 files(this is rare,Ive only ever seen it with a few releases). This will cause the movie to go out of sync when encoded to dvd. To avoid this just cut the last couple of seconds from the mpeg2 file there's a silence in with Tmpgenc mpeg tools.

Yep. Heck, I could never get the mpg to correctly, unless I used this option. And works everytime.

Just to let you know, WinAVI 6.2 and higher does a good job with SVCD mpegs. I used it for the two movies you mentoned above, worked flawlessly.
