Admins

I think, just in my opinion that possibly the highest posters, IE MG, Thug and a few others, should have limited admin access (if at all possible) to delete garbage threads/post or anything like that.... just an idea....

One time, my cousin Walter got this cat stuck in his ass. True story. He bought it at our local mall so the whole fiasco wound up on the news, it was embarrassing for my relatives and all, but the next week he did it again, different cat, same results, complete with another trip to the emergency room! So I run into him a week later in the mall and he’s buying another cat and I says to ‘em "Jesus Walt, what are you doing? You know your just gonna get this cat stuck up your ass too, why don’t you knock it off?" And he says to me "Brodie, how the hell else am I supposed to get the gerbil out?" My cousin was a weird guy....

the people with moderation abilities are chosen from people i know and trust to run the board without me racing after them. it has nothing to do with postcounts.

i visit my local bar all the time, doesn't mean i should be behind it.

To be honest i dont see why anybody would ever want to be a mod. It requires too much time that could be used at a pub or throwing up after going to a pub...... or getting a kebab after throwing up after going to the pub...

Well you always gotta remember, post count may sometimes have nothing to do with intelligence of the person here.

I could just make a simple macro that would create a thread and post just a " - " every 30 seconds, because that's what the flood control is, and I could reach 1,200 posts in just 10 hours. Not saying that I would... Or would I? <devilish grin> But it just brings up the point that post count should have nothing to do with who get's Mod and who doesn't.

Yes, am highest counter here, but least intelligent. *jokes* But in seriousness, its how much they love being on this site which makes a good mod.

heh well the board really doesn't need any mods right now, but a few peeps here(*cough* thug/moviegod) are around when the time comes that a mod resigns/or they need another

Moderation really changes how you act on the boards. I am serious... When "KiloByteisGAY" was running around, I am sure if you were at the end of his flaming you would get pig headed and boast about banning him. I know this on first hand, because it is so easy to click "[Ban User]" So before you really want to become a moderator, put some time in helping out the channel. Then you will realize that it's not as easy as good judgement, it's all about controlling the judgement you have been given to aid in.

It is quite possible that I, phucker(the one and (god help us if there is more) only) am the longest moderator active, that has the least posts. pHo and etc, keep up with the people I on the other hand, keep the bad from surfacing and banning the new breed of "isonews-rejects." But, as pHo said(gotta love that line) it has nothing to do with post counts. In fact, I could quite easily chat on here like I do on irc and have zounds of posts... waist of time I think

Don't know how that applies to me Phucker... Go ahead, look through my posts, I've never once suggested that anyone be banned. Only person that I've had the slightest argument with was Kilobyte when I first came back here a few months ago and me and him ended up bein friends on here.

All you gotta do is remember this is just like H.S. in a way, these people won't be with you long, so why try to please them? Don't let anyone get to you, no one's gotten to me yet.
