cool...

typical 1cd rip in terms of quality - plays fine on standalone (with some tweaking), which is cool. just finished watching and it goes all the way through in sync which is starting to become a bit of a novelty! movie is a bit lame...

I'll be harsh on this one in that I believe the movie is clearly worthwhile of 2CD's, I mean Hitch got 2CD's and that's only a few minutes longer. If this was just made 1CD by NOX just because their SVCD was 2, then yeah I don't get that (SVCD should've been 3 btw ). Remeber this is kinda a darkish movie = blocky unless right bitrate is applied.

scene rules say:

quote:

Movie Length:

- PAL (25 fps) = min runtime is 105 minutes/CD │
- FILM (23.976 fps) = min runtime is 110 minutes/CD │
- NTSC (29.97 fps) = min runtime is 92 minutes/CD

If they splitted it up in 2cd (runtime is 110min says imdb) it could verry easily result in a nuke.

Posted by PttU on 05-28-2005 10:47 AM:

SRR states 108min should be 1 CD, although it's close to the 2CD-border For a 1cd-rip the quality is decent.

Xvid is for the best "quality/filesize"-ratio, if you want quality above all, get the DVDR.

Is there cigarette burns in retails? I think there was a couple of in this one

Posted by JonBlaze87 on 05-28-2005 08:14 PM:

why did they make this movie a 1cd rip. Any movie this good should be 2cd no matter the running time cuz 2cd allways looks better anyway. I might wait for a retail rip I guess. Quality look pretty good tho for a 1cd. Movie is fuckin awsome !
My buddy got this release. Only checked it out for a minute or 2

It's definately not retail, that's why they didn't release the DVD-R. It has some cigarette burns, so I guess it's a very good quality DVD screener. NOX released movies from this kind of sources. I don't think I'll grab the proper because the movie is shitty.

Nuked: Mislabeled.TC

Very good quality TC if that is the case. Only problems I had was audio goes of about 1/4 - 1/3 second for a lot of the middle of the movie, returns insynch somewhere around the end. (Results On Standalone) Wait for proper or retail...

on my tv and dvd player it had very nice quality even for 1cd....

I just don't get how any dvd release can have cig burns.. if you would explain it I'd be very grateful =)

Posted by JonBlaze87 on 05-29-2005 08:32 PM:

i have the Sahara dvdscr(mof i believe) and it has cigy burns. It totaly looks dvd source to me though so i got no idea how they get there.

Posted by sar on 05-29-2005 09:35 PM:

Yep I noticed that on the Sahara release too. And some other DVD screeners.. that's why I wonder.. because I used to class all releases with cig burns as telecines, but I may have been mistaken.

Posted by Redemption198 on 05-29-2005 11:26 PM:

This is more than likely a Watermark free DVD-Screener or an actual DVD-Rip, unless someone is using 100's of Thousands of Dollars/Pounds/Rubels, of equipment to do Telecines, which i severely doubt, even then, how many Theatres have a clean print of the movie anyway, theres alot more than a few cig burns in most films i see.

I also have a few Retail DVD's that have Cig burns on them, so it does happen.
