Another...... How do i do this and how do i do that question
Howdy all! Obviously im needing a wee bit of help other wise i wouldnt be postin here... So here goes...
Im currently using WinAvi too convert Avi's/Mpeg's etc to .Vob files then using DVD Santa to burn my movies. Sometimes I can be successful and watch a film from start too finish and have absolutly no problems what so ever but on some occations the movie will cut out about 30 mins before it is due to finish(WHICH AS U CAN IMAGINE, IS PISS ANNOYING!). Basically im looking for a solution to my problem, I have tried various software such as TMPen to covert and Nero and Record Max too record but I still have the same problems. At times I think Its the rip itself but then I here and see friends having no problems with there methods which i have tried. If any1 can shed any light on my problem then please do so... any recommendations would be appreciated, cheers
Oh and its nothing to do with codecs...
Any decent mpeg encoder (CCE and TMPGENC) can use avi as video source.
What i would do (not htat i convert divx to dvdr... why even download the divx? just take the dvdr).
Thanks for the feedback mate, fully appreciated
get DVD2SVCD....this will convert your AVI to DVD and leave you with an image file or a set of VOB files, whichever you prefer.... you only have to set input to avi and output to dvd, and choose the path of your encoder (you can use TMPGEnc, CCE, QuEnc, or Procoder). It's by far the easiest and most powerful solution.
Also try a diffrent DVDR media.
most of the time if it converts to dvd its not the video its the audio thats why you always convert the audio to 48 ALWAYS just to make sure dont use PCM

i understand the winavi to convert but dvdsanta to burn??
that sucks mate use nero to burn the vob files created by winavi
before burning us vlc to view the vobs and check for errors..a little time spent saves those annoying coasters
