ac 3 5.1 to wave equals... ?
ok when a file with 5.1 gets converted to a wave file.
is the resulting wave file a combination of just 5.1's left and right channels ??
the 5.1's front three channels(left,center,right)
or all five channels minus the bass. or or or ??
hmm if someone could help. just rather curious.....
With the right software, you can downmix pretty much any way you want to.
The rear channels are usually matrixed into the front signal so the final 2-channel WAV includes Dolby Surround encoding. When played back with Pro-logic or Pro-logic II some (but not all) of the original content from the surround channels is retained.
*thank you* !
