Video is good - bright and clear but a little grainy..
I seem to having some sync problems...
Just my codec setup? Will edit after some experimenting
8/6/6
sample looks clean.
yes, where other samples do not lag audibly, this one does.
8/6/7
The sample seemed to be in sync, but the sound wasn't great. Picture was fairly good, a little noisy. Does this have the same source as The.Hitchhikers.Guide.To.The.Galaxy.TC.DVDR-NE?
The picture on that release is better (of course it's dvdr not svcd)
7/6/?
Nice picture, but there is a sync issue. Just got the DVDR of this and looks to be the same source. The audio is slightly off.
Sound is a touch quiet too.
8/6/7
Yeah, both svcd and the dvdr have messed up outta sync audio. Hoping for a fixed one.
6/X/8
xvid also had sync issues so it is possible an issue with syncing the audio ...maybe its from another source
who knows

Video is very well transferred, a little bit bright and contrast is low as should be expected from a non-professional TC, this is easily fixed with a bit of colour correction using any NLE out there, not too much grain on the film either and English titles and so on, a step in the right direction TC-wise for SAOSiN.
Audio has a lot of snap crackle and pop, I really wish someone would hurry up and break the encryption on these new DTS tracks already. I had a quick scan through the film and couldn't find any parts that are noticably out of sync, will watch the full release later and report back though...
The movie is not brilliantly done, anyone who enjoyed the books will be dissapointed as there is really quite a lot of detail missing and this can make the film a bit hard to follow in places.
Excellent work though by SAOSiN, given what they had to work with (no DTS), this is a big step forward.
6/6/8. Yes, clearly some bad sides to this release but okey....

IMO if you have the previous TS release from Centropy stick with it as the differences are minimal on standalone.
Keeping it simple, not much of an improvent .

video is that ghetto-ass, russian WWII TC machine that turns all video a glowing redish tint... BOOOOOO!!!!! tons of conversion scares on the video...

Sound is hollow, washed out, and has
a overpowered amp hum... It sucks...
sync issues... why dont you actully get the movie before rating it...

Funny as hell, reading the book after watching and can see how people are upset... best sci-fi of the year by far... kinda reminded me of some of that old school spacequest 1 VGA kinda stuff... wait untill a dvdRiP comes... This aint worth it...
Thanks SAOSiN

just like i said for the xvid release, not too hot for a tc. im just gonna stick with centropy until retail. their's was good enough and had better sound imo. i would compare this with the 'A Lot Like Love' TC that they released which was only an average tc, like this.
nice try saosin but ill pass. more TS releases from that excellent source you used to use would be appreciated; amityville horror was 3 months ago lol!
Video is ok, but audio is a little off...
6/4/7
audio went off sync. in the last half hour or so, a little dissappointing as i thought the rest of the movie was quite good
7/5/8
going to see it on the big screen... YEAH!!!!
A little better than the TS, but not by too much.
