Props to CTP on releasing what was awarded best movie of the year. I still think it should have gone to Scorsese's The Aviator, but hollywood seems to be on Eastwoods dick. Anyway, I still think this is a great film and deserves a watch. Nice to see this one returns back to the menu when the credits end, unlike several past ctp dvdr releases. Movie played and looked great.

Where is the DTS Audio on R1 Retail

I looked on the R1 on this movie and they dont include a DTS
track. Since I was actually going to buy this movie. So I guess
I will be going for R3 the korean version then since it has the DTS audio track.

Or maybe its the hollywood dvd scam they have been running for years. You buy the first dvd and then they come with a collectors edition and then the special edition and then finally director's Cut.
Then as a bonus they release the superbit edition with DTS on it.

Well CTP did a nice job but I will erase the dvd when I get my Korean version.

Well, this is a damn solid release. At first while I was getting it, I was thinking, 132 mins, oh shit... But CTP really cut the fat off the disc and made the best possible outcome. And with the bonus disc out now, everyone will be happy.

Video is not a 10/10, as problems can be seen, especially in fine details in clothing, etc... But honestly, you only see this stuff if you are bored with the movie (which I was only 1 or 2 brief moments). And sound was great too, can't complain. I dunno what DTS will bring to this disc other than a lower video bitrate, which I don't think this movie can afford. This is 80% a drama, and I honestly don't feel DTS will help this much.

Video 9/10 - Good stuff. Bitrate nice and high during action scenes, and nice and low during the "drama" scenes (which is most of it actually). Very good overall, looking forward to obtaining the retail to this one.

DVD-R 10/10 - As good as you'll get. I found no problems, but all I did was press play and watch.

Movie 8.5/10 - Hardly rate movies... This movie was a surprise (like most other people said here). I was going in thinking I was going to be watching a female version of Rocky. But it was much more and much better than that. Much more drama than action, and the chicks definitely like it. Especially that the boxing scenes with Swank are more comedy than action
