Roadrunner and FTP

I was wondering how fast does a movie download with Roadrunner? Anyone know? Does it download a 90 min. movie in an 2 or 3 hours or longer? I'm just getting acquainted with this FTP stuff since I've had it with Izero. I received my vcd's today and Jay and Silent Bob turned out to be a cam job in a full theater even though they claimed it to be a screener/workprint. They suck.

Angry pointless it is

Well, now I've done a little research and found out that downloading movies is just like Napster. However, even with Roadrunner it takes literally an entire day to download a movie. That is pretty pointess. With the $40/month you're paying RoadRunner and all the electricity you're using having your computer on ALL day it doesn't make much sense. It's actually less of a hassle and cheaper to just buy the video cd's from a reliable source. Everyone talks of FTP sites like there so great cuz it's "free". whatta load of BS. I assumed movies could be downloaded in a reasonable amount of time. Why else would some many people be in FTP I thought. Turns out it's a waist of time and you people are morons.

You are a moron because you are talking about something you know very little about.

damn .. you bitch about 40 bux a month .. it is not roadrunner (aka: mediaone , @home , at&t broadband) fault it takes u all day to download a movie .. i personally have roadrunner service .. and it take me less than 1hr30mins to grab any movie .. the reason it takes you all day .. is because you are prob using one of the TOP l33t 56k FTP sites .. everybody knows .. top sites only use 56k dailup :P ... you should really go back to you 2nd grade class .. recess is over little kiddie ... you know nothing about this scene .. you prob try to use web base sites to get your movies .. and thats prob true ..since you even mentioned napster .. mp3's did not start when napster arrived you idiot ..

also on a side note .. you even bitch about how much power it takes to keep your puter on all day .. hahahahah .. my lan has 8 puters that stay on 24/7 .. and my power bill is never over 200.00 .. it prob only take less than 50 a month to power all my puters 24/7 .. so 50(power) and 40(cable inet) is 90 bux a month .. for all my puters and high speed inet . .. i was paying 140 in 96' for a isdn service .. and that was just for Internet .. maybe is you ask you parents for more of a allowance .. you would feel better ..

Thank You, Drive Thru ..

thanks everyone

finally people give me answers! I've sent several of you people messages trying to find out about FTP and nobody would ever repsond. it's like everyone thinks I'm the FBI or something. All it took was for me to type up some bullshit and finally I got some answers. I've gotten a bit frustrated with buying vcd's off of Izero lately so I decided to try the alternative. Anyway, thanks. I'll guess I'll sign up for RoadRunner and along with WinMx v2.6 I'll be downloading Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back workprint by early next week. later.

Oh shit....this post is so funny! I am a newbie and I am smart enough to realize that this guy is a lamer. It does not take a day to get movies....more like 1-2 hours. Also, do you have "roadrunner" (lol) or not?? Get your shit strait before you post anything because you obviously don't know what the hell you are talking about.
