VOB has some interlacing issues. Anyone checked out the full release?

Played VOB with newest version of VLC.

2/9/8

As stated in the nfo, it is a region 5 release, which made me skeptical at first when it came to the quality.

Just finished watching it on my monitor, and everything looked decent. The VOB sample doesnt do it justice, since the AR is way off and sound is tinny.

The picture quality seemed decent at best, with the movie being 1:42 and there being no real extras to contend with. I personally would have eliminated the numerous company intros/warnings at the beginning to perhaps help the picture quality slightly.

The sound was perfect at 5.1 dolby.

I still await the r1 release, but this wil definitely tide you over until then...

Ratings for dvd.
v- 8.5
a- 10
m- 9 (but im a big Jet Li fan)

Says D5, meaning it was a DVD5, which I seriously doubt. I can't believe a movie company (in any country) would release this bad of quality, so I really do think its re-encoded badly, and the nfo is wrong.

So does the patch fix the problems? or just remove the region lock?

This is a nice release, I watched it in VLC Player, since it was wrong region and wouldn't play in my DVD Player. I watched it and there was nothing wrong with it at all.

Only the sample is interlaced, there is no motion blur.

Anyways I rated this release

V9
A9
M9
<Don't flip those upside down>

Looking forward to the fix.
