VCDQuality Desktop

its about that time... wanna beta test? find me - tell me...

Its currently in the making, im just starting to get somewhere... It only has like 10 hours into it.... But its coming along smoothly...

Therse a few things I could use.... Icons for all the buttons (for the ones i have now it would cost $7 per... fuck that),a nd just any ideas you might have...

Admin peeps... Is there any way to create a "shortcut" to this thread in the main forum or should I just move it (even though it's in the right place at the moment)? - it's not going to get the attention it deserves here.

first of all, theres nothing wrong with going to the site...

as for the ads, in the last version it did have ads... but now, im trying to figure some stuff out with X69.. Might end up having them in this, might do something else...

so stop being a hater.

drop down menu's use mnemonics jus coz... its the fad

How would we know if a release has been nuked, and the rating(quality etc) of a movie? Would this refresh/update itself or be static until the software is reset?

if a new release is posted on vcdquality would it email a notification / popup a message auto.?

Would it be possible to send our own rating of a movie via that app which would update the vcdqual site?

chat feature of people who are using that program would be nice

also how about giving the exact size of the movies as well as the number of cd's ..

How would we know if a release has been nuked gotta ask X because that info is stored seperately from the listing, and the rating(quality etc) of a movie? look at the last pic i posted Would this refresh/update itself or be static until the software is reset? it does refresh - you cant see it, but theres a blank button on the far left (which i just got an icon for) to refresh

iv literally got 100 different ideas for you, may post few up later....

glad to see someone taking an interest in programming, im a graduate computer science/with management student myself, graduated couple weeks back!

but you must love programming, i cant stand it these days, finished of a large genetic algorithm (i kno lines mean nothing, but it was 400+ pages) for my final year proj (forecasting/scheduling in java)

Programs in java annoy me as the vm likes to eat all the ram i'd rather be using in photoshop.

Yes, of course java isnt going to be as quick as a native app but java as a whole is a superior language for platform independency, providing web services and allowing comprehensive well intergrated systems all working in unison.

It also has a gigantic community with some really amazing things available for it not to mention the free open source arena in which it exists.

Funnily enough the c# and php5 implementations are so close to the java model its scary - but of course, its shit?
