Worth a look...

Winner of the Grand Jury Prize at the Sundance Festival. Can't fault this transfeer in any way. Any flaws were in the original and since the movie cost only $7,000 to make I can hardly complain. Bonuses of this DVD version, you get English (and Spanish) subtitles to help follow the rougher passsages of dialogue. There are two commentaries which help a little to explain the storyline and a slide-show type trailer which explains the basic premise.

Picture is a bit grainy but that was due to the original being blown up from 16mm to 35mm. Sound is 2.0 Dolby Digital and very rough in places for reasons explained by the movie's writer/director/male lead.

The movie itself appearsto be aimed at the MTV-generation, ie: under-35's. I am over 50 and like many movie critics in my age group had the greatest diffiuclty in following the latter stages of the storyline. It is essentially about a pair of amateur scientists who go back in time inadvertently and sometimes deliberately creating all kinds of present day paradoxes.

This si no Matrix but on the other hand it doesn't look like like a $7,000 prodcution either, more like a better quality TV drama.
