There are 3 versions of the film that have been released in various formats (4x3, Letterbox, Anamorphic, etc). This one is the European release that was not edited by George Romero, but by Dario Argento.
The U.S. theatrical version has a runtime of about 127 minutes.
The extended version, recently released in the 3 disc "Ultimate Edtion" boxset, has a runtime of about 139 minutes. Often referred to as the "Director's Cut", when in fact, the theatrical version is G. Romero's preferred version.
The European version, which this one is, has a runtime of about 118 minutes. This version contains numerous scene extensions, and skips over several scenes from the North American versions of the film. This version also contains additional music from composer Goblin.
So, when NOD says completely uncut, it's not completely true. It has additional material, but also leaves out some material from the U.S. conterpart.
Cysko your mainly correct but the ultimate edition you are on about is actually on 4 dvds but it does have 3 diffrent versions of the film along with a bonus dvd of extras.
There is another version with longer than 139 mins but sadly its only been released in germany and i doubt the transfer would be good as anchor bay do usually push the boat out and try to get the best extras and extended footage like the criterion collection.
Anyway the german version is on for 156 mins and also it states it on the imdb web page.
As for this release i think i'll buy the boxset as this boxset looks to be worth the £ or $
