Problem capturing 60i with adobe

Hey, im having trouble capturing 60i with adobe. My cam (sony dsr-pdx10) can capture in 60i, and i have been using that. However, when i open adobe premier and attempt to capture it, it still shows the capture frame rate as 29.9 ntsc. Also, when i render it, and run a diagnostic test with some vid tools i have, it also says the frame rate is 29.9 ntsc. Is there something im doing wrong when using adobe to capture? Also, it seems on the adobe capture options screen that first prompts you before making a new project, that capturing in 60i is no where to be found.

try capturing with sony vegas. works fine for me with my cam, but iim in a PAL zone so dunno if itll be the same for you. i capture at 25fps.

never used adobe myself, but im yet to try

well..... adobe has presets to capture at 25 pal.... i need 60fps.

59.94 interlaced fields per second = 29.97 frames per second. What's the problem?

oh, interesting. I wasnt aware of that... are you sure... I thought it was going to change the framerate to 60 frames per seacond...

I'm with Mother on this one... i means interlaced which means you have 60 FIELDS per second, it's very unlikely you have 60 interlaced frames per second (which would be 120 fields!!). Adobe would recognize that the input is actually 29.97 interlaced frames.
