Well im thinking that its the rated version, as the running time of this is said to be 104 minutes, and amazon has the unrated version as 109.

Posted by shiban on 10-05-2005 09:10 PM:

It's the theatrical version.

Looks really good, but i dont see how this can be the rated version (if its a true retail DVDRIP). If u look around you'll see that the film is only being released in 2 versions - Full Screen Rated Version, AND Widescreen UnRated Version. So if this is retail and real ( and it IS widescreen) it should be unrated.

EDIT: since this is the pal maybe its different ( i was reffering to NTSC R1 Version.)

P.S. the regular version is 109 minutes (check imdb) the unrated is unkown (as far as i know) so this is mislabeled time or edited ;P
And YES i did check the DVDSCR runtime and it is 109 minutes. Is this one edited or just mislabed?

the runtime is short, i'm guessing because the movie runs faster than it's supposed to.

In some scenes, you'll notice the characters sounding like chipmunks.

It's like this movie is running at 1.1x speed. That could explain the 5 minute difference.

this is not a good rip.

The DVDSCR runtime is 1:44:58 or 104 min. This release is 1:44:30 I just watched this not 2 hours ago. But Amazon has both the unrated and the rated version at 109min.

There is a noticable speed up through the entire film. I only say this because I have watched this film at least twice a week since its release. And can tell the difference.

Where this extra 5 minutes is coming from, I have no idea, because there is no difference from the theatrical release.

WOW, i cant believe someone who has watched this movie twice a week doesnt even know how long it is...thats kinda pothetic. I dont know what rls of the DVDSCR u got but i just checked my xvid by HLS and it is 1:48:58. You musta got the shitty edited version from some other country then, or you cant tell time.
Plz dont post against my post unless you know what you are talking about moron

I made a mistake. I admit it, but not once was I trying to be a dick to you. If I had realized my mistake, I would have retracted it. To call me a moron for a simple mistake shows your maturity level and obvious lack of social skills. Now if you would like to continue this conversation on a more mature level, I welcome that. I really don't see that happening so I am done with you.

To everyone else on the board, my apologies for my mistake. It's obvious that this release is sped up, but it IS the theatrical release, which was my point to begin with.

Saw this a little while ago. The movie is a lot of fun - I can't imagine what the unrated version would be like though, if this isn't it! A few minor issues, but otherwise excellent. I'm sure most people know this, but if not - Rob Zombie, who directed this movie, also directed "House of 1000 Corpses" and some of the same characters appear!

movie - 10! FUN!

Lovely rip from Xv. Really compliments what is an interesting perspective on film maiking from the diluted mind of Rob Zombie.

Video - perfect DVD quality, gonna have to mention the nice 634 x 336 resolution good stuff!! None of this letterbox bullshit!

Audio - didn't notice any of the '1.1 speed audio' that people have been mentioning, not that it isn't there, i guess i was just enjoying the wild ride enough not to notice. AC3 would've been a bonus but as its 1CD VBR is more than acceptable.

Movie - great sequel to the original, a movie less about grotesque horror and more about the actual characters themselves as they run from the law. One to Watch!! Some of Otis's lines really make me laugh.
