This should be nuked for bad A/R. It's encoded as 4:3 when it should be 16:9. If you watch it on your PC and change the aspect ratio, it looks fine. Same thing goes for watching it on a widescreen television. Otherwise it's unwatchable. I'm not sure they needed to blur out that whole chunk of the screen for the watermark either -- looks like sheer laziness to me. Other than that, it's clearly a DVD source... audio seems fine too.

A: 10
V: 5
M: ?

The only reason I'm giving it a 5 for video is because it's a nice picture quality. If you go through the process of reencoding it with the correct A/R, you only have to contend with that horribly blurred s/n or counter, which is in a place where I've never seen one before.

haha... i swear some people are just so ungrateful... lets remember this movie has only been out alittle over a week and we already have a dvd copy out! Anyhow, there is a blur in the middle of the left side of the screen.. covering the source, but otherwise this is perfect for me and I can get over it quickly!
Video: 9.5
Audio:10
Movie: ?

Bad A/R of course.. Counter which was over blurred but we can all get over that.. Nice and fast dvd source!

Video: 8
Audio: 10
Movie: 6

Video got 8 for obviousy reasons..

I was happy to see this released, great video and audio. too bad about the ar, but that was easily fixed. The blur or the serial wasnt that bad you get used to it. The movie was a huge disappointment though. I thought it sucked. I expected much more from it. Anyway very nice quick release, pls keep it up prevail.

8/9/4

ungrateful ? had any other group got this same source they would have blurred the serial rather then put a huge black box blocking it , and the AR which is clearly noticeable as fucked would have been fixed. Bigtime out of sync 80% the way through the movie. Also this is DVDScreener ??? For DVD Source it looks VHS Source ...

Great Effort Source , newb group.

4/8/?

prevail are obviously just lazy. even a 7 year old could tell this picture aint right. as for the blur on the watermark, well fair enough. ive never seen a watermark in the middle of the screen before but there you go.

video - 7 (bad a.r. and blur obstructing picture)
audio - 9
movie - 9

Beautiful, this is what I've been waiting for, DVD screener releases. The aspect ratio is obviously fucked, but I only watch them on my PC and then delete them (Sin City was the only thing I ever burned so I could watch it over and over), so no biggie for me.

Posted by GringoStarr on 10-09-2005 02:30 PM:

If I were going to put this to disc how would I fix the A/R issue?

I'm talking hyperthetically of course. :P

Cheers.

into CD1

Film looks PDG (pretty damm good) havin just "flicked" through it

Anyways, based on the version I have

Yeah your right about the aspect ratio and stuff film itself def worth the watch but along with the bad ar def sync issues after 18 mins or so still watchable funny when the guy punches another then second later out comes the sound affects lol

Not bad but what the hell is that blur in the middle of the screen? Isn't that shit usually in the corner? Very strange..
