I don't get it...

This release has DTS and untouched video, and is smaller than the Untouched 5.1 TGP release?! Anyone know why/what is happening on this release?

Thats not the reason, as far as i can see from what i have so far, this is a DTS only release, so would be smaller than the TGP version.

In the past ive not been a fan of MPTDVD, and still wouldnt say i am, but i quite like the recent trend of having multiple version s of DVDR's, helps make up for the lack of good movies and poor TS groups.

Actually, only reason it is smaller is because the TGP had 2x 5.1 streams (one for English and one Asian). The TGP doesn't have DTS.

This release is DTS only, which makes it the way to go. However, if you lend movies to friends and family that don't have DTS, they'll call you names and throw rocks at your windows.

The R1 is just around the corner also (1 month till retail, so within 1-2 weeks we'll see it), but I am afraid they might recode it to hell and add tons of extras. Or maybe it will be a movie only untouched video... Who knows... We'll see.

Yeah, i know the other had two audio streams, thats the one i got orginally, though why ive wasted 9gb on a movie which I think looks shit, i dont know.

Region1 is out soon, but i dont see it looking any better, it might be a different transfer so might not be untouced, as i have saw that before, but i would rather a studio done DVD5, than a CCE Re-encode of a DVD9 sized movie.

As for this being DTS only, yeah not great for everyone, though i have saw DVD players, and have one myself, that decode DTS down anyway, and ive always found having 2 5.1 tracks a waste anyway.
