I was really looking forward to a good rls of this flic. I am fan of the feelgood genre
But first of all i must say i aint a big fan of a 3 cd release.
But ok:
audio: direct audio offcourse. Not as good as the video;.bit hollow at times. But still pretty good
video: lately you see some tc that are actually a ts. But this tc is great. Sharp video and really watchable
movie: great;..loved it...big laughs

Good job NBP!
very nice release from NBP
audio was very good
video was even better
I liked the movie, finally a good comedy.
8.5/9/8
I saw this the weekend it came out in the theater and have been waiting for a day like this ever since.
9/8/10
Brilliant Telecine.
First 5mins or so there appears to be a hair in the upper left. There are several times in the film where there is some static from the audio (almost like a microphone being rubbed on clothing)
But i cant pick fault with it, close to as perfect without a DVD Source.
V/8
A/8
M/9
very nice this is just what ive been waiting for, a nice replacement for the imo 'shite' cam so i can re-view this film
v 9 (sweet quality, dont care whether ts or what its good quality)
a 8.5 (also decent)
m 9 (very funny and steve is a comic genius)
i compared this with the asteriods release and i think the xvid is a tad better so ill get that. if these guys do revolver then ill be very happy

encoding software is the equivalent of The 404 going on a diet and walking thru the door. takes longer and sometimes more skill, but ultimately worth it.
audio skips annoying as hell

DAM!!!!
have you guys even watched this from start to finish?
Video is good, apart from the hair in the gate. other than that its a top TC for video.
Audio, looks like this was taken from the Royal DVD TC or least its the same source.
in the 1st 5 mins there are a few skips
at least 6 times in the movie the sync is WAY out.
sync pops back in just at the reel change (look for burn top right) only to sync out again towards the end of the new reel.
i think it was a problem at the TC encode stage. i dunno just a guess.
Movie itself had me pissing my pants, cant whate for a propper.

If it goes out of sync, it cant be by a huge ammount. I cant remember seeing any huge time delays on the audio, and i've just watched it a second time.
Not doubting ya, but sync issues usually stick out like a sore thumb.
the sync issues didnt really bother me
more the hiss in the audio at some times
but like i said be4: reallll watchable. And thats the point

There's definitely sync issues, in skipping through I noticed it in the scene where he does magic for his girlfriend's little daughter. Can anyone who's seen the entire release post how many times it goes out of sync and at what points in the movie? I'd like to attempt to fix this myself.
Aside from the sync, the audio has static from time to time and the occasional popping noise. For example, it pops when he says "egg salad sandwich" and you miss the word "egg" completely. Not a big deal by any means but worth noting.
ahh, where to start with this one...
1) Audio is NOT direct, but microphone audio from a theater with some heavy filters applied to it. It also seems the microphone was bumped every now and then because there are some pop noises here and there.
2) Video doesn't look Telecine to me, but rather Cammed with a HD camera. Colors are a bit washed and overall it's not a nice colorful picture.
3) Audio goes in and out of synch.
And if the release was good, I wouldn't have minded the 3CD's, it is a long movie and it needs 3 CDs. Who still burns on CD-R anyways?
Video: 6.5
Audio: 5
Movie: ?

8/8/8 from me
Looks really nice to me, definetly dont think Telesync, although the colours arent perfect, 90% of Telecines are the same as they are done with cheap equipment, horrible dirty print though.
Audio is pretty bad at times, crackles, loud pops, sometimes enough that you cant hear whats said, and a few out of sync moments, overall not good, but enough to watch it.
Movie looks sweet.
8/5/?
alanisrox69, why 3CD's, the movie is under 2 hours so they would all its undersized, and i dont see how it helps the quality, unless you cant be bothered doing a VBR encode.
it converts nicley to avi. resynce the audio with tmpg
8.1/7.0 (after resync) /8.2
shit never mind . there is a XviD out thats damn near perfect
should have waited as usuall
