encoding software is the equivalent of The 404 going on a diet and walking thru the door. takes longer and sometimes more skill, but ultimately worth it.

Anybody else getting lip sync probs throughout film. Would of given audio 9 otherwise.

As for film I loved it but Im still a bit baffled by it, need to watch it again. (probably another 100 times to make sense of it)

I'm sooooooooooo glad a DVD SCR is out for this. The USA theater release date isn't until January '06.

Anyways, on to the ratings.

Video: 9
Audio: 9
Movie: 7- definitely worth the watch if you're a guy ritchie fan. If you're not, then don't bother... you won't get it. Still, Snatch and Lock Stalk etc were better.

Great quality on the DVDSCR, wasn't out of sync at all when I watched it.

Movie was awful. Guy Ritchie tried to make a David Lynch movie and he failed miserably at everything that makes Lynch's work great.

9/9/2

10/10/8 perfect crisp video and audio no watermark film was good but not ritchie's best

Posted by Red0ut on 11-04-2005 11:07 AM:

v - 10 (great quality for a dvd screener)
a - 8 (not loud enough for my liking)
m - 7 (that movie was pretty messed up, it's a mind movie instead of a violent one which is okay i guess)

Awesome movie. I dunno why so many people said it sucked, they probably didn't get it. Kind of a cross between classic guy ritchie and usual suspects with a bunch of symbolism (though I'm not saying it's as good as the usual suspects).

Pretty perfect. I swear it looks just like a DVD rip! Just no extras or professional layout pre-packaged for me, so I have to make my own to re-create a retail experience for me(which is never expected, by the way), so it looses .03 points for this :P

Audio - 10
Sounded perfect to me. Had no sync issues, and I had re-encoded it to play on a standalone. I don't have a 5.1 setup, however, so I can't really tell *for sure* if it could stand to be better.

Movie - 8
Wow. I have no idea who Guy Ritchie is, and why some say I shouldn't understand this movie because of that. It was great. Nice alternate perspective of a gangster movie. The emotions are really delivered to the viewer through so many ways. Really dug how parts of it had different visual perspectives, but I feel that it almost jumped around with the variety of visuals as well (ie, maybe used more anime, and more blue, while using slightly less real footage). Of course, these changes were still used subtly, but I may have been spoiled by Immortal for movies that venture into these graphical realms.
