im not sure about everyone else, but i take tc.xvid or.tc.svcd anyday. i prefer a smaller file with high or higher quality (and i don't burn very many movies, so why bother with svcd) now i better rate this thing beore i get tossed from vcdq

a - 8 it would be higher, but unless there is DD2.0 or DD5.1, it can't really get any better
v - 8 im not sure a telecine can get much better
m - ? i have not watched this yet due to previous releases being unwatchable

BETTER SYNC, MISSING NARRATION

video, audio, pretty much the same as the PRODiGY release. It is better sync, but its missing the opening narration which the PRODiGY release has.
Good video, excellent audio.

The video is nice, especially in the lighter scenes. Obviously this movie has many very dark scenes throughout and this does affect the video when viewing. Its highly watchable but to be expected. Its obviously not DVD but its good, so in the scale of things gets a 7.
Audio is fine, I noticed no issues while viewing the movie and it sounded nice. No sync issues at all from start to finish. Again its just standard mp3 audio but its good so a 7.
The movie.. I enjoyed it. It isnt oscar worthy nor "movie of the year" but its good entertainment and I enjoyed it. I'd recommend it to any sci-fi fan. I have no idea of the tie ins to the games, but it worked for me as a stand alone movie for sure. Good, 7.

Have you rated this version without watching it??

I want useful comments please so I can decide which to get, the prodigy TC SVCD, or the TC Asteroids version.

Can anyone help with this??

Great rls, at some places i saw it was nuke for Mislabeled TS.
But i watched parts of the the rls (not sample) and it's alot better than the TS that was out.

Overall a very nice rls, and if u dont want to wait for a great DVDSCR or DVDRip than grab this one.

M- N/A havent watch the all thing yet, but looks like a typical high budget action movie with an o.k cast and lots of spical effects.

THE missing beginning narration :

" In the year 2026, Archeologist working in the Nevada desert discovered a portal to an ancient city on Mars; they call this portal THE ARK. 20 years later we are still struggling to understand why it was built and what happened to the civilization that built it."

I read the PRODiGY release goes out of sync around 15 minutes, then comes back in sync, is this also true for this release?

Posted by dontbegay on 10-30-2005 03:03 PM:

no sync issues in this release... just finished watching it on a TV.

some pixelation in parts but tollerable.

slight hiss to the sound that can be killed by lowering treble.

movie ends in a very strange place... almost as if the credits have been put in prematurely...

Watched the whole thing. There is one 4 second section where they change sound source, but it's hardly worth mentioning. Even dark scenes are watchable. Carries on into the end credits (the game like ones, followed by standard up-scroller) so not entirely sure what previous post refers to.

Mmm was expecting it to be better,

Video 7
Audio 8
Movie 8

Liked the film but yes its out of focus which is annoying and pixelated which is a shame the audio is acceptable...''

Not as good a quality I would of hoped for.

Seen this in movies Just got done d/ling this and I gotta say the FPS scenes are awesome in this copy. Not better then seening this shit on the big screen but decent enough til I dvdscr pops up.

Video - 8.3(Dark scenes still alil too dark but very watchable)
Audio - 9 (Sounded Perfect to me.)
Movie - 5 (Only good parts of this movie are the FPS scenes rest of movie is crap But well worth a watch just for the FPS scenes.)

If you use winrar and tick the box "keep broken files" you can extract as many of the first rars you want, and play the resulting xvid in vlc player.

Run it through virtualdubmod on "direct stream copy" and it will play in any player.

As for the release

Audio 4
