well this is from the same source, but much better encode, sound is good a little to much base, but all and all good, picture is cropped quite a bit, but the flicker is not as bad. i would say it is in fact tc, just played across an old projector. if you want to see the film i would say this is going to be your best bet.

in fact, our actual *ts* aren't true ts because a real ts should be 24 fps captured with profesional device, real tc are done with a machine that scan every frame of the print.

also, there is a machine for sell on ebay calling TC wich is something you mount in front of the projector that will digitalise print, but againt, its not a tc ...

What you call a TC and not a TC is purely something from your own. Those machine's you are reffering to *are* TC machines, only not the proffesional (verry expensive) big machines the company's use to digitalise there (old) tapes.

(the macine of the picture is availible in the Price Range: From $45,000 to $63,000, now imagine why cheaper (still not cheap!) machines are used ....)

That does not mean those other machines do not procude TC's, that are also TC machines using a different (cheaper) way to digitalise movies.

Its time the bashing about "waaaa, this is a ts... nah, this is deff a tc .. no man, this is a ts.. "are over. Just rate the fucking video you get without doing anything usefull yourself or else dont download it and dont reply with bashing reply's.

Props to Asteroids and maven etc for turning out some good watchable quality xvids(the best source there is )..

You know what, everytime someone releases a really good quality flick we have to have these debates about is it or is it not what they say it is. We have been complainging all summer about the bad quality of the releases and all the f'ed up CAMS. Let's end it shall we. I have seen some TCs this year that made me want to laugh at the fuckers that labeled them that way. This is not the case with Asteriods. They do quality work. Even if it is a TS it looks 100% better than most of the TSes and TCs released lately. To the newbie know it alls and flamers let's stick to what the forum is here for. RATING THE QUALITY OF THE WORK!!!. That being said, I think the quality is excellent. Crisp color great sound and honestly much better than all the other releases I have seen. Good work guys. keep it up.

Frankly I'm sick of hearing if things are TC or TS. For many releases you could debate it to be a TS or TC forever. Groups using silver PDVD's or video found on Russian newgroups as a source don't allways know for certain, so they have to guess based on if there is alot motion blur, heads getting up, tilt on the camera.

According to WikiPedia a telecine is simply the process of converting analogue video to digital video, meaning in theory a CAM could be a form of TeleCine. For the scene however a telecine seems to be accepted as a film trasfered with a profesional 24fps camera in a machine rather than pointed at a cinema screen, and of course with direct audio. Just because it hasnt been made using the studio grade machines doesn't mean it isnt a telecine, the machines I have seen on ebay are definatly real telecine machines.

Quality is quality, no matter where it comes from. So unless there is real proof that it isnt a TeleCine (motion blur, bad tilt, heads bobbing up and down in front of the screen) I do not see any reason for people to make claims it isnt a "real" TC. It has long been known that TCs vary in quality, to the point that a good TS can be far better than a poorly made TC.

I know I am really not in the correct position to say this, but hey, just my two cents.

Anyway, to the point.

Video: 8 - slightly blury picture (not motion blur), but very good anyway
Audio: 8 - sounds fine to me
Movie: havn't seen

Judging from sample: very good audio, loud and clear, must see the entire release tomorrow to know if there's too much bass as someone said. Video shows vivid colour and no flickering, sharp too, you can see peoples faces in details, different than other releases lately. No doubt the best release so far, thanks asteroids.

video: 6 - Video was showing wave lines in and out.... I'm not sure if im the only one exp. that, but it was annoying...
Audio: 7 - sound was decent for a TS
Movie: Turned it off just now... seemed a bit cheesey.

Who is the one who "sound idiot" ? Becuase the ONLY, I repeat the ONLY requirement for a TS is direct audio (usually from handicapped headphone plug). It can be the crappiest cam ever, with people blocking everything and walking past the whole movie, but if it has that direct audio its a TS.

Now generally there's an expectation that a TS will have better video, and often it does. But its certainly not a requirement.

Just repeating what was said at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Telecine. You are right in saying that a proper telecine comes from a telecine machine of course, but the world (according to wiki) just means the process of converting analogue video to digital.

Think people must be watching a diff release...colors and "waving" are terrible... maybe sample has been touched up, but full release has pretty poor vid. ..haven't seen other releases, so can't compare
