Good rip, but one question. Did anyone have a problem with their DVD standalone player freezing up. When I chose play in the menu, the movie would play while the DVD player's front display was still showing "menu" and the whole player just locked up. Nothing would work, not even the power button. The movie continued to play. So I had to unplug the player to get control again. This time I went into scene selection and chose the first chapter. When I did that, the movie played without the player locking up. Strange. Anyone else? BTW, I have a Pioneer DV-563A.

Quoted from elsewhwere

"Apparently the Encryption wasn't broke on this release. I ran the disc through dvd decrypter, where it commenced to "cracking the css" then loaded the thing in dvdshrink, and it was perfect!"

tempo: This release works fine on my Philips, JVC, Panasonic, and XBOX. There is a few seconds delay after pressing the play button but it plays fine after that. Probably due to the laser having to move back and forth to read those small, non-consecutive, vob-id's at the begining of PGC1. Might want to try cleaning your laser or reburning on better media if your having playback problems using the play button (selecting chapter 1 from the menu appears to link straight to cell 5 so you bypass all those small, non-consecutive vob-id's).

jdfkiller: Doesn't appear to be CSS encrypted. I isobusted the image, ran it through DVD2AVI, made an AVS, and loaded it in nandub. Looks clean to me. If it were encrypted it would have video glitches all over the place. At least that's been my expeirence in the past with movies that didn't have css properly removed.

Don't usually go for this type of stuff but this was quality.

Played ok on my stand-alone but did notice that it was VERY slow to load the movie when I pressed play in the menu.

I had similar issues to Tempo when playing on my Pioneer DV-575A stand-alone and this isn't the first time with a Replica transfer. PGEedit showed many discrepencies in the file descriptions including artificial layer-breaks, in particular between the start and Chapter 1 and also between chapters 9 and 10.

Those issues aside the transfer is very good. The movie also rocks and took me by complete surprise. It works on all levels, sci-fi, comedy, comic-book and has loads of pretty young girls. What more could a man want? Had it not been for this free download I would never have even watched the title.
