looks alot better than the xvid and svcd efforts but they encoded some big fucking black bars at the top and bottom

not sure if its the same source (ie actually a telecine) as the other 2 or not.. either way it doesnt look too much like an actual screener.

video - 8.5
audio- 8.5

Video is excellent and as a Telecine, one of the best ive saw, the colours are a tad off, but the picture is super sharp.
They havn't encoded Big bars above and below, its a 2:35:1 movie, its supposed to have those, the XviD had the same AR, what i think your seeing is as this is a 16:9 encode, you can see the black is a slighly lighter shade of black above.

Sound though is were this fails and proves its a Telecine, its very compressed sounding, and is Mono, a DVD source would have at least a Stereo track.

As DVD Screener.
7/5/?

As TC
10/6/?

joke of the century (remember mr & mrs Smith?): good telecine is a "dvd-screener"

is this version an actualy 4.7gb dvd?

Posted by maraz on 12-10-2005 11:27 PM:

Same TC source as the others, I guess. Clearly not a dvdscr judging by the brightness of the image (black is not black) and some dust artifacts here and there. Sound is unbearable with a compressed low hum, just like all other releases I've come across.

Good for a TC, but crap for a dvdscr. And since it's mislabeled as a dvdscr...
