i dont see anything wrong with the asteroid rls as i watched it all last nite, yeh its cropped at the bottom....

still gives me no reason to download this.......hmm wondering why the asteroid one was nuked the other day? and today no nuke symbol?

Movie 10 straight up best movie since the titanic hands down.

Nice rls, video qual is pretty much the same as asteriods imo. AR is out slightly. Audio is considerably better.

I didn't notice the bad AR. Video is better than asteroids. The colors are more vibrant, and its a bit sharper. The audio sounds full, and is a definite improvement. Thanks for the quality stuff PRODiGY!

If you do a frequency analysis on both releases (asteroids + prodigy) you will notice that prodigy have actually used/stolen the audio from asteroids (how lame is that!!)..

Every spike + line noise after 16000 Hz is perfectly identical in both releases (and this is not the movie itself, its line noise!)

So basically... what can I say? They removed some bass, enhanced the mid-range and amplified the entire thing... It's what I would have done, but now I don't have to!

Well the question I have for you all that have seen this is: what's the cropping like? Is it better or worse than Asteroids'?

grabbed the sample from the prodigy TC and compared it with the asteroids tc and the same scene..

they looked exactly the same?

someone else might want to double check.

ok ive checked both qualities on this one and ASTEROiDS

ASTEROiDS has the better video but you can bearly notice the difference. you have to look real hard to see which one is better. actually i compared 3 different scenes to find out. id give ASTEROiDS video a 8.7 out of 10 and PRODiGY's video a 9 out of 10

PRODiGY (this one) has the much better audio. ASTEROiDS's audio is muffled and very low. PRODiGY's is crisp, clear, and loud. id give PRODiGY's audio a 9 out of 10 and ASTEROiDS's auido an 7.5 out of 10.

out of the 2 releases, PRODiGY wins because of its audio.

PRODiGY- 8.7/9
ASTEROiDS- 9/7.5

id give the movie itself a 10 out of 10. its a must watch!

A=9, great. To bad no AC3.
M=7, would have been higher. If they had cut the first 50 minutes. Feld like Titantic -in short- to me.

yeh this is much better than asteroids which is good coz i didnt get round to downloading the full rls.

v 9.5 (super nice, much sharper than asteriods copy, richer colors, and the blacks are black rather than dark grey)

a 9 (clear and direct, theres none of that shit where they get cam audio and remove various frequencies of sound to pass it off as direct, resulting in radio quality sound)

m ? (STILL havent seen it, but hope to soon)

Overall it looks similar quality to the telecine of aeon flux in terms of picture, and the sound is better than most direct audio being put out by groups these days

King.Kong.2005.PROPER.TC.XVID-PRODiGY is the best to date.

I don't care about the AR (Aspect Ratio) as much as over cropping as with the Asteroids release. I tweak the AR with the player when I watch movies, So AR aint no big deal to me.
One up for PRODiGY.

Remember these rating are in terms of TC.

Video 9 - Rich colors, sharp contrast the only flaw is some
________slight [encoding] ghosting around some objects. Easily
________the best video for this title to date.
Audio 10 - A very robust range of tones, strong volume, no
________noise. Easily the best audio for this title to date.
Movie 9 - A great version of King Kong. Not sure I liked the
________ending Mr Jackson.

Video: Comparing it to Asteroids this one is actually a bit blurry, stretched vertically and slightly more colour added.

prodigy's is cropped the exact same way...and has a bad AR too.
