Is this a copy of the uncopyable, uncrackable, unbeatable cinea-coded dvd screener?!?
Surely not! After all the work and money they've put into the format that simply cannot be broken and played on other dvd players!!
If so......

nice copy looks good not perfect but good and i`m sure the best until retail don`t quite understand why they didn`t blur out that number on the watermark i don`t know if they will be able to trace it back through that .
v/8

many have thought the cinea could just be fed through a video capture card, but i dont claim to know if this is encoded as such, but there is a disney watermark I havent seen before just below mid screen on the right side with a #7... hmm.... anyway the picture looks fantastic... THANK YOU for this FCiA, sound is great also... now I await a Harry Potter dvdscr or something besides the TS... but for Narnia this has to get a 9/9/7..
Verty nice rls, seems to be a very very slight green tinge around the edges of objects in the darker scenes (maybe caused by capping method
), but this is still a great rls. Thanks FCiA
8/8.5/8
Very surprised they didn't blur the logo, perhaps they changed the number from 6 to 7 instead

I'm about midway thru watching this & I gotta say, that watermark is barely noticeable after a few mins.
Every now & then 'BVI-NT' appears in the very bottom left of the picture & stays there for around 8 seconds. Not sure what it is, but again, it's not too distracting.
This a a great looking & sounding release that will defo do me until retail!
Overall:
Video 8 (because of watermark only)
Audio 7 only 2.0, but does sound good on all speakers
Movie 9 watched it in cinema & loved it!
JM
Watched the whole release. Watermark isn't too bad after a while. Picture is mastered weirdly with high contrast.
On the battle scenes there is a lot of clarity lost, almost as if this was captured using a video capture card or something.
And the aspect ratio is a bit screwed too, but nothing that XBMC can't fix.
Audio is set pretty low but has pretty full range so not too bad. But AC2.0 which is dissapointing for DVDSCR.
7/7/8
Splendid news.
Had a quick look. Good release but not without problems. Source problems mainly, which the group can't do much about. But problems all the same.
1 Stereo sound is slightly disappointing - I believe this screener is CineaPlayer-only. if the studios believed Cinea's system was bulletproof, you might have hoped they'd go the whole hog with 5.1 audio.
2 Watermark is rather big! But is a darkening overlay rather than an opaque counter or whatever which does help.
3 This ain't no DVD rip. Some artefacts do indicate that this has gone Digital -> Analogue -> Digital. So it is not a true digital copy, although I must say it's a belting effort in the circumstances. Let's hope for more where this came from.
Pic - 7 ( hard to rate as it's lousy by DVD standards - partway between TC and DVD in quality - but credit for the effort)
Audio - 9 (fine. Seems direct - no hiss or buzz, full dynamic range. Can't fathom how direct audio extraction could be done though so I'm impressed)
Film - 9 (I enjoyed it immensely and the kids haven't shut up about it since we saw it at the flicks. Maybe this will quieten the little bleeders til retail)
The RUSTLERS XViD release has been nuked for "unblurred serial." This one may suffer the same fate. Appears to be sourced from a PAL screener, since there is a FACT warning at the beginning of the disc. The greenish hue may be due to whatever process they used to re-encode it to get past the CineCode protection on the academy screener disc.
Video: 7 (green tint and watermarks)
Audio: 7 (AC3 2.0)
Movie: 8
Not too bad of a release. I watched the TS so that was good enough for me.
From sample: Watermark is really only visible on lighter scenes. Can the 7 be classed as a serial, because surely they sent out more than 7 copies of the disk. The video at some point seems to have been passed through an analogue source. Do we have Academy members who review for Oscars here in the UK? If not then this disk shouldn't have had CineCode protection. The audio is good, sounded fine through the 5.1 sound on my computer.
The film I was suprised by, I watched one afternoon when nothing else was on thinking it wasn't really my type but ended up enjoying it.
might be a B.A.F.T.A copy
You have BAFTA members. And i assume they get the same security features on their discs as the academy members. I could be completely wrong on that though.
Being that this is an analogue capture, it could of purely been captured PAL as the person who got hold of the DVD was in a PAL country.
Looks great to me considering where its from and will well do me, and the watermark isnt too bad, if i could manage History of Violence i can put up with this.
Audio is nice, 5.1 would be nice, but the 2.0 sounds good upmixed to 5.1.

Is this NTSC or PAL? The NFO reads NTSC but someone metioned in a earlier post that it was PAL.
Thanks
