hmm, checked the sample... there is a watermark on it (mountain of some sorts) but it's really unobtrusive...

the quality of the video is sub-par though, a lot of compression artifacts on it.

haha yeah you're probably right

I would NOT want to be the guy who sent out this screener right now.

Posted by Jonas on 01-05-2006 09:00 PM:

No doubt... Last guy got fined $150,000 per movie for a total of $300,000. OUCH! As well as being ejected from the academy of course.

Posted by NoNe23 on 01-05-2006 10:44 PM:

Look At What They've Done Now But I Dont See The Reason To Proper It Because Its Already Been Released And WHat Makes You Think The MPAA Will Get The PROPER Without The Serial

But All That Was Blurred Out Was The 7

Audio-8

Movie-7

dude you see there is some rules on scene ;/ and that grp broke it ;/ they just stole DVD from that other grp (superior) an proper its 100% correct ;/

Posted by sailorboy on 01-06-2006 12:14 AM:

Am i right that this is just a stolen release? who stole from who?? Fcia releaeed this first i think, both have unblurred Watermarks.

Well excited for this film (watched Maven release, went cinema) so this is much appreciated. Its a shame that it seems "fuzzy". Possibly a compression issue.

Overall 9/9/10

Whatever the story behind this release i am eternally gratefull

Not sure why you kids are laughing at his expense and the fuck up of a group that should know better.

Don't you realise this is probably another net source gone? Oh yes lets laugh, it's oh so funny. Ain't it?
...Fools.

Nice screener.

The DVD release also has the same 'unblurred' serial

The.Chronicles.Of.Narnia.The.Lion.The.Witch.And.The.Wardrobe.DVDSCR.DVDR-FCiA

Good picture & sound - watermark is not to noticable
Wouldn't want to be the supplier of the source

I think it's pretty childish that all you care about is the loss of your precious screeners. When some poor dude is going to be heavily fined and face possible jail time.

Yea, but it's the name of the game. When a weed man goes to jail, people don't think "damn, so-and-so just got locked up over some green", it's more like "damn, now I gotta find a new weed man". The "bootleg" scene, as it seems, is very similar to drugs. There's constantly a large percentage of the community that's "feinding" for the new releases, and there's big penalties for it.

Don't get me wrong, I feel for the guy, but really... if I had access to screeners, I would *not* leak them, because of how many ways they have to trace where the leak was. Hopefully, nothing negative will result of this, and both the the guy who leaked it, as well as the group who released it, will realise how careless one can be at times.

overall a decent coppy, the watermark is a little annoying but easy to get used to.

My problem is the fact that it was changed from 2:35:1 to 1:85:1 ratio, but thats only cause i like watching movies the way they were filmed, but i guess i cant complain.

v/8

a/7

m/8

Posted by vurtX on 01-06-2006 11:20 AM:

ok , why out of 13 "reviews" only 5 people actually rate the quality? if i wanna read a fucking blog i will do ... ok the film narnia ... video 9 = perfect apart from the blurred logo

sound = 9 stereo, and fine

film = 5 mindblowing if youre 10 .. shite if you over 10

Posted by White Rabbit on 01-06-2006 03:04 PM:

v 9 (excellent dvdscr, watermark still there with a #7 on it which is still better than a fat ass blur across part of the screen, so the supplier's gonna get assraped for this by the academy)

a 10 (perfect quality)

m ? (doubt ill watch but heh its free so im-a-downloadin)

thanks RUSTLERS, i dont care if its stolen or not, i needed xvid so this is fine for me

encoding software is the equivalent of The 404 going on a diet and walking thru the door. takes longer and sometimes more skill, but ultimately worth it.

well okay I watched it anyway, seeing as everybody is recommending it.. bleh

video: 6
worst dvdscreener I've seen, ever, apart from the mislabeled telecines of course.. the 2.35:1 original video is cropped to 16:9, the green channel is out of sync on cd1 giving all edges a green glow, compression artifacts seem more plentiful than usual.

sound: 9, good, powerful, although center track seems a bit recessed, probably not the encoders fault.

movie: 6 - too sweet.

i decided to take a look at it. I agree, this is a very bad dvdscr rip. It looks more like a TC than a dvdscr. watermark was not bad though. I guess it better than nothing but i'll wait for a better copy
7/9/?

They can have watermarks. But its possible the group who released this dont care about supplier, since it wasnt directly supplied. It was just copied and sold and they picked up a copy somewhere along the line.
