Interesting movie a little long is all..... this screener hit newsgroups yesterday same source so its good qual with only a "property of" ticker, so no timecode, watermarks or blck & wht sceenes

v- 9 dvdscr with such a small ticker )

a- 8 AC3 5.1 wouldve been nice but not available on the source i assume or it wouldve been a 2xcd xvid release

m- ? havent found the time to watch a 2 ½ hour movie yet

edit: sorry for my ignorance Shareman, being on nameless kinds of private sites and servers i was unaware of what went on with public peer to peer networks

About time. Been waitin' forever....ok, well, maybe not *that* long. I saw something on X-Play where they said the first batch of screeners couldn't be read by the players...she also said that wasn't to be confused with the "screeners of Bloodrayne, which are unwatchable"... I'm almost sure she meant the CAMs....anyway

Video - 9
Great pic. Woulda gotten a 10 if it wasn't for the scrolling text. Woulda got a 9.5 if they hadn't cropped that text... Just kinda annoying to see half the text.

Audio - 10
Sounds great. Don't have a 5.1, so I can't test that, but seems perfect on my TV/Stereo.

Movie - ?
Watching now

encoding software is the equivalent of The 404 going on a diet and walking thru the door. takes longer and sometimes more skill, but ultimately worth it.

I watched this through last night streaming through XBMC. The picture was good all the way through (there was the "Property of..." banner that went through the bottom. Perhaps some of the video was cut out as the letters in the banner were only half visible (top half). Did anyone else notice this??

quality is perfect and this movie is pretty damn good! Its a bit long so make sure u got 2 1/2 hours to relax and enjoy a flick, bc this is one to enjoy!~

Is the ending missing? I didn't get anywhere near 2 1/2 hours flicking through. Looks great though.

video = 9 excellent, clear & slightly cropped at the bottom to hide half of the scrolling spoiler message, the colours look deliberately "1970s"to keep the feel of the era.

audio = 9 ... perfect, but only stereo

film = 7 enjoyable, some dodgy jewish accents and typical spielberg moments where it goes all mushy & out of place (like how he destroyed stanley kubricks A.I. by turning it into the wizard of frigging oz.) And the final shot of the world trade center is just Government propaganda.

the spoiler message only lasts 10 seconds, you can barely see it & it happens about 4 times during the movie.

EDIT - this has been nuked , dont panic theres nothin up with it, sweet release.

In that case your math skills are shite.

Watched it last night, CD1 was around 84mins and CD2 was 82mins.

Excellent quality, the awards consideration banner that scrolls 5 times wasn't annoying, they cropped the black bars off and hence half of the message - can still make out what it's saying but it's not exactly distracting.

No B/W screens, usually aren't when the source is meant for Awards Consideration.

Video was fine, some people have complained about fuzzy edges? that's the camera they used to shoot those scenes, nothing more.
Audio was perfect, absolutely spot on.

The film was completely captivating, found myself slack jawed and sitting on the edge of my seat at certain points, if you've seen it you know which bits I mean.

Video - 9 (The banner doesn't count as 'it is' an awards screener)
Audio - 9 (Spot on)
Film - 8 (Definitely one to watch)

Video - Shame about the Ivtc, though for some reason I'ts not constantly jerking - more obvious on scene changes, I suspect (due to movie run time) It's encoded from a shrink DVD5, which plays havoc with encoders as the bit rates aren't really true rates. Also the picture quality is synonimous with post shrink working (Shrink DVD5 is non reverse engineering as post encoding resets video bit attributes to their correct state - hence a low res DVD outcome) - nontheless - It is still very viewable esp. for a new movie.

Audio - Very good for Mp3-Vbr, keeps it's balance well, but then you'd exepect it loud when bombs go off - awesome effect.
Re-encoding Vbr-audio from a movie of this length is not practicle and not for the feint-hearted - IT WILL run out of sync unless you go via GOP structure. So just don't bother waisting your time with the one-button encoding methods.

Movie - Sucked right in (except some flimsy acting in parts - esp. those who were shot, they just fainted on the spot). Was well entertained for the whole 2h35 (pal) yours'll be 2h42 - Ta-Ta
