video quality is so-so, although i doubt they could do better considering the length and amount of heavy action sequences.

these are the times when i wish i could spring for a media center pc w/ 1TB storage.

great pic and sound really gud and pretty quick too

video 9
audio 9

only problem was that the region code 1 for usa was left on it so wouldnt play in a uk dvd player so had to decode and take off the region codes

The video is somewhat grainy in some places, but you cant do much seeing how long the movie is.
You people voting 9 must be using 21" tv or something because you really see the flaws on a hdtv.

another great harry movie..sample is excellent...

What a great looking rip, considering the size will probably be maxed at dvd-9 size per dvd (2 will be rlsd) I watched the 1st task against the dragon, and saw no real problems, and the audio was great too, the movie wasnt up to expectations due to reading of the book first, but its still fun for those that dont read.

9/9/7

::Edit:: ok the same sintiments as before, but this does seem to lose a few frames, obviously a movie only or buying the DVD will be the best offer... I LOVE harry, but this movie is damn bunk compared to the book... The first 3 ,may deserve a buy, but this one is REALLY FAR OFF THE BOOK, and that makes me feel ok d/l this since i bought a ticket

I didn't see any region 1 coding on this thing. It came up as All region in DVD decryptor. Anyone else see region 1 only?

yeah it did still have RCE but it was quick and painless to get rid off. looked good quality from what i saw but will test on standalone later tonight.

Pretty much everyone already said it already, this is a perfect release. As good as you'll get from a DVD-5. Small little menu (unlike the other 3 Potters) and fully dedicated to video with a single 5.1 audio track.

But the movie is TOO long for a DVD-5 unfortunately. So true Potter fans will be buying it in March. Second rate Potter fans will most likely be doing a DVD-9 copy And the "Potter is ehh/ok" fans will be just fine with this one.

DVD-R 10/10 - Perfect job. Nice to MPT come so far along since their DVDShrink days.

region 1?

Its turning out a lilttle strange for me this one...dvd decrypter say theres no regional coding or rce yet when burnt to a disk it states that its a region 1 disk...run it through dvd decrypter burn again and i can find any player that plays it aprt from computer which is happy with it!!?...is anyone else having problems?

Harry Potter & the Goblet of Fire

In my opinion this release by MPTDVD should be NUKED because they have left the regional code protection in their rip

Posted by Tempo on 02-13-2006 10:58 PM:

Well just checked the rip again with IfoEdit, and it did show up as region 1 enabled, so fixed that with decryptor. Will this release be nuked for not haveing region code stripped. Not sure why decryptor showed this as multiregion to begin with.

I have my dvd writer set to region 2 this comes as region 1 other wise very good release

larsbaby, you could check decrypters RC & RCE settings - make sure they are ticked in all three modes. Hope I'm not trying to teach granny how to suck eggs here. Dvd Decrypter worked ok for me.

I got that message also (request DVD player region change), but all you do is click your usual region (R2), nothing will change, and it works fine without losing a region change on your DVD.

Good quality but as stated is region one.
